Groupon deals - anybody use them?
Hi all
Has anyone on here signed up to groupon.com? I don't know a great deal about them but a friend sent me todays offer for Bournemouth which is an overnight stay in the onsite hotel at The Oxfordshire golf club with breakfast and either a round of golf or a spa treatment. This is for two people and the total cost is £99! Groupon has a different offer each day so if you are interested in this, you MUST purchase it before midnight but you then have 3 months to book the night you want to stay.
Cracking course and the hotel looks really luxurious so I've gone ahead and booked it for myself and Doris
Just thought I would share this with the rest of the gang.

And here was me thinking it was just so that you could pop home if you forgot a wedge or something.

Drive4show - I use group on for both birmingham and London. Often get some good deals which work fairly easily to use.
I got an indoor golf booth for 25% of the normal cost.
I guess the trick is too pick things you would normally use/want rather than getting sucked in to every e-mail sounding good.

An offer for Bournemouth - staying at the Oxfordshire?
Not really convenient if you get an early tee time.

George
It's an overnight stay, only about 1h45 to get up there. Drive up in the morning, look round Oxford, book a tee time for the morning then spot of lunch and drive home again.
Just what the doctor ordered

clicked. joined.
Other half is considering if it's a good idea... Don't know if you get credit for that or just if I purchase. See what happens.

Are you looking at the Oxfordshire deal as well? I see most of the Scottish cities have a similar deal at Turnberry but it is on the Kintyre course, not the Ailsa. Still a great deal though, good course and great hotel.
