Halfpenny just missed a penalty - he has not been in the right percentages the last few weeks since he returned.
If the Blues lose this match, it will be a huge step backwards.

9-7. ESPN scrum scoresheet is more efficient.

Why is this not on match choice on the red button?

Re: Cardiff Blues v Sale
I was using ESPN, but the other one seems to have more detail
Blues will all the penalty attempts, makes be think they are dominant having given away a silly early try.

Because all of Sky's viewers would rather watch 2 french teams play each other, or Connacht play Zebra yesterday rather than a Welsh and English team play each other

So you can watch a Welsh vs English team play in France, but only a French vs French match in Britain. Sigh.
Who's playing well for the Blues?
And why haven't we scored a try!

Second half just starting now. Blues looking good all round. Backrow doing good work. Possibly had the lighter side of the referees breakdown interpretation to be fair.
Commentary is in French, I get some of it but this bar is quite lively.

Blues conceded a try strait away there.
Same as at the start of the match. Soft defence.
Good news is they got one too. I think it was Lloyd Williams who scored

Paterson's second game of the season after getting re-injured in his first game a few months ago. Good to see him back.

Another missed penalty, 2 in one game from Halfpenny used to be a once in a blue moon event

Paterson makes his return with a 73rd minute try, which should seal a much needed victory

Is Patterson Wales-qualified? (I know he's played for NZ under 21s.)

Not yet, I think he has stated he would like to play for Wales when he becomes qualified (which I think is next year) - he is a very good lock/6, far better than Pretorious.

Sorry lads Internet died...! Great game Cardiff did really well. Conceded soft tries, lapses in defence.

He played really well. A few French lads were asking who he is!
Glad to see him play the way he showed when he first hit the scene.

I would settle for him not being as bad for the rest of the season.
Pity they didn't televise the game, I would have liked to probably judge how good a game Williams had.

Just typical, same thing happened when I started slating Eli Walker after his dire performances last year.
Maybe I should just criticise all the Welsh players. I've been annoyed at Roberts, but he has been good the last few weeks and almost got a couple of tries today apparently.
Sam Hobbs is awful, he will never be able to outscrummage everyone on the loosehead

Good work mate, keep it up...!
We need all the help we can get. Even if it is an obscure way to get players into form it seems to work well...!

Re: Cardiff Blues v Sale
Just back from the game. Was very impressed with the crowd considering the weather we've had. First off the Sale fans were great, top banter and they kept behind their team all game. We were in good voice too, which still surprises me. There was some very good rugby at times. I've bashed Lloyd Williams a lot lately but he had a good game and was very influential. Josh. . . This guy, what a work horse. He must judge his own performances by how many bruises he can get in a game. Because he is body on the line every chance he can.
Leaking two tries in the first few minutes of each half was worrying, there was a period of the game that lasted 20 odd minutes where Sale lived in our half and had all of the possession. Fantastic defence from the boys, some really big hits driving them back. The first proper phase of possession we had after that was a line out just outside of their 22, and Lloyd to his credit sported a gap and threw a basketball pace 20 yard to Pats who jogged it in. Worth standing in the cold for. BLOOOOOOOOOOS!

Great achievement beating the worst team in the history of the English premiership.
Well done Blues. Players deserve a night out in Ponty tonight.

Sorry Rose, but aren’t Rotherham the worst team in the History of the English Prem as they went a whole season without winning a game? I don't think Sale are even close to being the worst.

Rose is 3rdgrandslam, Roger Lewis, Scrumdown, onlyonewelshregion among others. I think we can agree that he is a lot more embarrasing to Welsh rugby than the team was in the Autumn Internationals.

Re: Cardiff Blues v Sale
very cold second half. coleman is right, navidi had a massive game. halfpenny missed a long range pen but not by much, short on acuracy not distance.
jamie roberts messed up a chance when he passed to lloyd on the inside with three men outside him. (someone shouted he should go to france)
sale had a lot of ball in the second half and batered the blues line and played in their 22 for a solid 10 munites and came away with nothing. huge effort from blues to absorb all that pressure.
really good team performance. williams deserved the motm but many others did enough to be concidered.
said hello to cipriani in the tunnel on the way out. he was too cool to say alright.
