Terry O'Connor
Is this man blind? 118-113 Smith. What was he watching?
How can 3 men watch the same fight and come up with such different scores? Is it time to look into boxing scoring and use some technology? I had Smith winning by 2 rounds. But by 5? Come on.

That wasn't his card, but yeah he was well off. I matched Richie's card. As for technology, no way.

He's a fat useless pr1ck. I had it a draw or a point either way for both men.
But that fat mess should be happy with the nice parcel that warren left under his seat

Re: Terry O'Connor
He scored it 118-112 which is worse and an absolute joke. I had Simpson by a round but wouldn't have argued with a close decision for Smith. Technology could work but determining what is a clean punch in a scrappy fight is always tough without replays. What about delayed cards. The judges go away and watch the fight on tv and score it again and see if they want to amend their card. Not perfect but would guarantee fairer scoring.

You can't delay the scorecard, would be such an anticlimax. Imagine going to a fight live and waiting an hour after the finish for the result.

I don't like the idea was just putting it out their to see what people thought.

I know what McCrory is saying because I say the same thing in some fights. But in this one, John won more than two no matter how you were watching it.

My bad. 118-112. Simpson won more than 2 rounds. That guy is a house judge it seems. Has he been to Germany to learn something there?

Re: Terry O'Connor
I had the fight very close, there were lots of close rounds how can he give it by 6?! its bonkers.Time for judging to be looked into first in Prizefighter when a judge gave it 30-27 when there was a knockdown and now this!

Couldn't the Prizefighter score have been from a drawn round, a 10-9, and the knockdown round?

That is absolutely bloody ridiculous. No wonder this sport comes in for some stick, being run like some mickey mouse organisation.

Re: Terry O'Connor
Not watched the fight yet but I lost all respect for O'Connors ability to call a fight after his diabolical performance in McDermott v Fury 1, the guy is a clown so to hear he's ballsed up another fight by some ridiculous margin that no-one else can comprehend doesn't surprise me in the least.
Re: the prizefighter incident, one of the judges scored a 3 round fight 30-27 in favour of a guy that was knocked down. Ridiculous beyond belief.

That McDermott/Fury call was one of the biggest joke decisions I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing (was the decision ever explained by Terry himself?).
The bigger crime being committed is by those who are letting him score and judge boxing matches. These calls scream out 'fix' and the saddest thing is I don't see and end to it. As Manos said elsewhere, the fact that choice of judges could put a fight in doubt is an absolute joke

Re: Terry O'Connor
I had Simpson winning, I wasn't impressed with Smith's spoiling! Only by a round though, a draw or Smith by a round is a fair result too. 118-112 is ridiculous, it would be nice to get through 1 fight without a controversial scorecard, there always seems to be 1!

Re: Terry O'Connor
I liked Simpsons interview after.
"Whats the point"
He has no chance of beating Smith while that smug, fish eyed toad is lingering about.
Simpson won the first match fair and square IMO, the one last night was a hell of a lot tighter but I think a draw would have been a good result, wouldn't mind seeing them two go at it again.

Re: Terry O'Connor
It rivals the 118-110 card for the PWill/Martinez first fight.
And i thought that was as bad as it got.
Did he fall asleep during the fight and have a random guess as to what the score was when he awoke in the 12th?

Would like to see it but Smith won't fight him again he has got lucky twice surely it wouldn't happen a third time.
