Anyone in central Cardiff today?
If so can you do me a favour and pop into the MS and steal the 'Coaching for dummies' book Howley must be refering to constantly!!
How is it humanly possible to rate Jenkins over James or even Gill. He is inferior in almost every aspect and is sure to be rusty as he has played more for a downtrodden Wales team than for his club this year. The only reason I could think Jenkins gets the nod is if Howley wanted to counter the Irish ball carriers with ground work, and if this was the case surely Tipuric and Warburton has to start together.
Matthew Rees was a solid player last year and the season before, but Owens has all but ousted him at club level and he has been bested by Hibbard this season!
Has Howley learnt nothing by the sham selection in the AI's, if you select a player who hasn't played for 6 months he will not perform very well!!! Evans will struggle!!
Shinglar is playing ok but in a pack lacking any real muscle and grrrr, Shinglar is part of that problem, I could justify him for some lineout work alone but to sacrifice in most other areas?
Hook as the only 10/FB cover on the bench? And Scott Williams who is struggling for form, at least Liam Williams wouldve proved back 3 cover!!
I'm not going to mention Lloyd as I will have a breakdown!!
Why is Howley so afraid to make the tough decisions, why does he constantly keep loyalty with players who don't deserve it, I mean Warburtons AI performance were awfull, but most of that was the selections fault, Warburton was clearly rusty and half fit. But even now Navidi is playing so much better than him at the Blues, Tipuric must by flabbergasted!!
Infact...
Mitchell
Hibbard
Gill
Reed
King
Turnbull
Evans
Delve
Evans
Jones
Brew
Patchell
Hughes
Williams
Byrne
I'm willing to bet this team of kids ans outcasts could do a job against our team Wales!!

Its a real shame to see Jenkins thrown around like this. He's was a class player and shouldn't be played when he's clearly unfit and out of sorts. He will never say no but it makes me think of Vickery during the 09 lions tour.
Never great to see a once legendary player humiliated... we may see it on Saturday.

Excuse my ignorance and laziness but who is tighthead for Ireland on Saturday because if Jenkins gets to still be playing come the England game Dan Cole will make mincemeat of him.
As for that matter will the French T/head next weekend, then again as long as he is going well in trainbig all will be fine.

It is Mike Ross, who isn't a destructive scrummager but will quite happily hold his side at bay... Jenkins was a great, but hasn't played much recently and could struggle, especially with McCarthy and O'Brien behind Ross...

You're spot on with everything. Except the 9, seeing as two of the three are absolute gash they picked the less rubbish one (Lloyd) as cover for Phillips.

British Lion double grandslammer Mike Phillips?
Mike Phillips who was instrumental in two of the last 3 wins vs Ireland?
Oh him!!!
Phillips should be first name on the team sheet vs Ireland, along with Tipuric.
