Usually like Moore but I was wondering if chris Patterson was gone to tell him "shut the f*** up Brian and let me finish"

Re: brian moore
Moore used to be extremely one eyed but has got much beter over the years and now offers fairly solid opinion MOST of the time. Inverdale well thats a different story

I'm not sure what people expect from host broadcasters in their selection of anchormen.
Did you watch ITV's coverage of the RWC? Or ScrumV? Or (by all accounts) RTÉ? Or (worst of all for me) Sky?
My understanding is that the anchorman's job is to ask non-technical questions etc. as an intelligent fan might. And create a non-technical interface on behalf of the viewing millions and the expert pundits.
If I were raging about anyone, it would be the bevy of titty blonde sideline interview beauties.

Re: brian moore
I agree Grey that is what the host does not what Inverdale does everything comes back to England with him, he has a love in with them he needs to be removed from their actually this is a PG forum so I better not say that
Re: brian moore
I love Inverdale even though I'm Welsh. I always thought him and Guzza got more excited talking about Wales than anyone else.
Brian Moore is a legend.

Re: brian moore
he just gets excited about the scrum and its "his thing". if you take away the partisan rage against the way he can express himself sometimes then you can learn from his wisdom on occasion.

Re: brian moore
Does the rugby board need a FAQ?
Q. Do you hate Moore?
A. Whilst he's clearly insane (with well documented reasons) his intense passion and deep knowledge for the game has gradually won over fans from all sides of Englands borders. Whilst partisan in his support he is not biassed in his views of incidents, and if anything is more hyper critical of England than any other team. Nor is he afraid to fairly critisize "untouchable" stars or referees, which makes a nice change from the sycophantic comments from others. He does bang on about the scrum a bit too much though, even if he is right.
It would save people posting this same thing before and after every six nations game.

Re: brian moore
I had to turn off the commentary for the Wales v Ireland game, Phillip Matthews is abysmal. On the 5 minute mark he claimed Ireland had most the the possession, only for the stats to show it was 70/30 to Wales. From there he just got worse.

I did think Paterson was going to headbutt him though for constantly cutting in mid-sentence

I'm a Scotland supporter but I do like Brian Moore, he knows the scrum better than any other commentator and is a vast improvement on Jiffy. Still no Bill McLaren though
