France v Wales: Build-up and match thread
First topic message reminder :
A very interesting opening weekend in the 6N. Good wins for Ireland and England, and a great one for Italy, who showed some nice touches and are devloping their play (unlike Wales).
Here's a typically hyperbolic journalist (or sub-editor's headline) in today's Express:
"Rob Howley Planning to Dump Failures"
http://www.sundayexpress.co.uk/posts/view/375256/Rob-Howley-planning-to-dump-failures
Nothing in the article to state who is going to be dumped, and no surprise there.
Will Howley have the cojones to drop some players? Jenkins, Shingler, and one of the centres? We'll see!

Leigh Halfpenny MOTM
I would have given it to Jones or Tupuric
If you want to give it to a back then Biggar or Halfpenny deserved it for their kicking for all our points.
Why empty the bench now?

Re: France v Wales: Build-up and match thread
France have this odd cliche that surronds them. Like its allways about them, if they win its down to them , if they lose its down to them..
Aus are a very inconsistant team and any team(bar wales offcourse) can make them look silly. France have never ever been a top side for me- and nothing has changed..
I am just glad I backed wales.. A decent 3/1!!!

Why is Bast still on the pitch? He has been useless from 45 miutes, even Lloyd Williams just drove him back!!
Ian Evans take a bow son, Jones wasn't far behind him either, and Tipuric!!!

4 wins is enough to win the championship. You should hope we beat Ireland to stop them getting a slam. That way you can win with the game over us at home

Lloyd Williams has done well off the bench again
Apart from that kick :/
He has really turned his season around.

Well Done Wales! Pretty gritty, slow paced game but better team won for sure. I expect away at Italy will be tougher game, this French team have been exceedingly poor.

Wales won't be helped on PD with Scotland and Italy away

That's the monkey off the back. The Irish must be peed off. Everyone else seems to be able to beat the French

Excellent win
We needed it, a lot to improve on and France are really awful at the moment.
Big result for Welsh rugby to win in Paris. If only we didn't have such an awful start last week!

It's like the selectors in Paris don't have a clue about the game. Did they send out the youth team?

Of all the places/times to end an 8 games losing streak - away to France. Bizarre. Wales their usual topsy turvy selves. France ditto...

Great (well a good win in a dour game) win for 'Whales' though France were pretty poor.
Don't understand why the French national team is struggling so much with their clubs side going well? Michalak looked awful at times.

Can never tell with France, PSA could completely change the team. Perhaps France will beat England and Ireland, England will beat Ireland and Wales' will beat England.
BELIEVE!

Same team for Italy?
I like the idea of Mitchell, James, Owens and Warburton off the bench.
After Murrayfield we can crucify Italy.

No, Italy will be strong at home.
First team starts, we see how they are doing at 40/60 minutes to make subs.
Wales need confidence, not arrogance.
