Havent a clue what to do with Rivers. He was borderline elite until the past 2 years.

The absolute end of the list is pretty much a crapshoot anyway

I'd have Wilson and Kaepernick above RG3 and Rivers easily, especially based on 2012 performances. Let T-Sizzle tell youabout Kap:

Re: Post 2012 QB Ranking
That's a fair stab at this GSC. Well done!
I wouldn't deviate too far from this except that I'd have Big Ben ahead of Eli. I'd also have Wilson ahead of Rivers. I could forgive Rivers one bad season but that's two now and there's no Superbowl ring there to redeem so he's going behind the hot rookies for me until he proves himself again.
I really don't like Cutler so I'm putting him behind Cam, Stafford, Schaub and even Dalton. I'll edge him ahead of Freeman though.
After that, you're right, it's a bit of a crapshoot but the one guy I would have just little higher than you've got him is Fitzpatrick. I definitely take him over Palmer and Locker and probably Ponder, Vick, Kolb and Tannehill.
Sam Bradford is one guy I just can't fathom. Can there ever have been a more under the radar number 1 pick than Bradford?? Just never seem to see or hear anything said or written about him nowadays.

Ah come on niner, the likes of Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora were saying nice stuff about Griffin III way back in October, weeks and weeks before Kaepernick even found his way onto a football field. That's the reason you can't rank Kaepernick and even Wilson ahead of Griffin III - RG3 has been playing at a high level from week 1. So has Luck. It took Wilson until the second half of the season to get going and Kaepernick was even later. I think it's just become the trendy thing to say that Wilson ranks ahead of RG3 although, I'll be honest, this is the first time I've seen someone say that Kaepernick is better than him. Out of RG3, Luck, Wilson and Kaepernick, the San Fran QB ranks 4th just now. He was the last one to the party and didn't show us anything that none of the other 3 weren't doing. He's also had the most time to learn in the NFL and walked into a better team than the other 3. San Fran were already winning without him. Those things diminish his standing versus RG3, Luck and Wilson further. The guy is good, no doubt, but he can't do anything that Griffin can't do...... except, at this moment in time, walk!

He can do many things that Grffin can't do, in the same way that Griffin can do many things Kap can't. RG3 doesn't have the same rocket type of arm, Kap doesn't have 4.3 speed. Kap doesn't have a big injury history, RG3 is more shifty. Yes Kaepernick is in the better situation but ask a survey of neutrals and I'm fairly confident he wouldn't be the fourth choice out of the newbie QB's

I think beyond the Top 6 or so it's really a toss up in the middle and lower echelons.
Can't argue too much with the list tbh

Wilsons got a better football brain than RG3, also Wilson can play without the read option but due to RG3 s injury I dunno if he can

And like I said about SF, if you start playing down big you aren't going to win many games.

Re: Post 2012 QB Ranking
I guess on the whole RG3 v Luck v Wilson v Kaepernick thing, it really is splitting hairs just now. Too soon to say who is the best. All 4 show tremendous promise but the real tests lie in the years ahead. Will be fun to watch them develop. I know I can definitely be accused of being biased here but, Griffin edges it for me just now. Can't wait to find out if that's still the case next year. I do wonder though if Griffin, Wilson and Kap can all play as well again next year as they did this year. Luck had his ups and downs this year but overall was still excellent - I kind of wonder if we've already seen the worst of Luck and it was still very good. I wonder what the worst of Griffin, Wilson and Kap will look like and how will they be able to deal with it when it comes?

Its not just 2012, which is why I ended up with a cluster**** of rookies and Kaep since its hard to place them.

Re: Post 2012 QB Ranking
Well you gotta think Luck will only improve over time. He threw a lot of picks this year, which he will only learn from over time. (Didn't Peyton throw a lot of picks?). He also had no running game, and bar Wayne he was relying on young guys on offence, also behind a siv of an offensive line. The defence wasn't exactly great either.
Griffin was the most impressive purely because of the less amount of mistakes made. But obviously he benefitted from the read option, so it will be interesting to see how defences come up with a way of handling it in the future, and to also see how he recovers from his pretty serious injury.
Wilson and Kaepernick both came on really strong at the end of the year. Wilson looks really mature, and seems to love not only playing, but the study involved in preperation as well. Kaepernick just has bags of talent. Again I expect teams to wise up to the read option over the off season, so it'll be interesting to see how they adapt if that is taken away from there game. They obviously benefit from better defences and offensive lines than the other two.
I'd probably just take Luck over Griffin, purely because I think long term he will be the better option, but no debate Griffin had the best year out of the 4

Well yeah, if I were projected RG3 only has 1 knee and Luck is easily the best passer of the 3

I feel comfortable is kap doesn't run all game and that shows his skills as a passer. Underrated in that regard

Re: Post 2012 QB Ranking
I'll stick up for Palmer and say he's harshly treated here. He more or less had no run game and no reliable targets and still racked up more than 4,000 yards.
He made some dumbarse mistakes at time, but he's still more deserving of being in the middle of the pack.

Yep, likewise RG3. Very underrated passer. He'll run because he's good at it not because he has to. He makes smart decisions and good throws. 65%+ completion rate, 4:1 TD:INT ratio and 100+ passer rating = very good passer.
