Predictions post Wimbledon 2012 for top 4
What are your predictions?
Can Djoko defend a mountain of points from Madrid to Wimbledon? Nadal too has a lot of work to do because he made finals of everything.
Will Roger make a final push for the number 1 spot to set a new record.. Can he overtake Rafa by Wimbledon?
What about Murray? Will he still be 'languishing' at 4?

By the powers of Lendl's shorts, with a small contribution from Annacone's hammer the top four could be:
1: Andy the crew cut Murray
2: Roger the Maestro Federer
3: Novak the one year wonder Djokovic
4: Rafael where's my knees Nadal

Haddie-nuff I think you've misunderstood the OP. The article isn't about who will win Wimbledon 2012, rather what will happen to the top 4 afterwards.

Take it easy "Golden Girl"
I think if any change was to happen it would be Old Roger (aka Peter Pan - is he really planning to play on until 2016?) dropping out of the top four but perhaps some expert advice required from one of the regular keyboard junkies as to who would fill the vacant spot in the top four

1: Roger "The Daddy" Federer to be exposed as tennis's Tiger Woods. A legion of Federer spawn descends on the world's unsuspecting sporting activities.
2. Novak "Lucky" Djokovic to retire to pursue a Hollywood career and spend more time with his super hot gf. (I would never leave the house...)
3. Andy "Mr Personality" Murray joins the cast of Eastenders and replaces Sue Barker on Question of Sport.
4. Rafa "Where's my knees at?" Nadal to become tennis number one for 277 consecutive weeks and win 54 slams.

Ok reckoner but can we stop drawing lines under everything... I hopeless at lines...... you said to me yesterday "thats the spirit" and I said yes I have that in abundance. Im tolerant of the fact that we all have our opinions and rightly so otherwise this forum would be a waste of time.. as you see SL calls me the Golden Girl ... more long in the tooth if you ask me.. I will listen and agree or not with reasoned comment. and opinions but never never am I intentionally rude to a poster or a player.. if I am or ever have been then I apologise. Then I would expect you to tell me.Thank you for the rose.. its lovely

Oh my life Haddie! My brain just exploded with that beautiful image
I think Novak will drop, Nadal will drop a little, Roger and Andy to climb. That my friends, would be exciting. I think we are due for a little bit of unpredictability.

I can totally imagine Federer as Willy Wonka...
It'd be nice to have a bit of unpredictability, I agree!

Re: Predictions post Wimbledon 2012 for top 4
Murray has a reasonable amount to defend, but he's making up a few this week (possibly) and has a further chance in Madrid. The big one for him of course is his semi at RG. Semi at Wimbledon is about standard for him now.
Djokovic has wins in Madrid and Rome to defend, but then has a chance to gain some points at RG. Of course he then has Wimbledon to win.
Nadal has possibility of getting some points in Madrid or Rome, then has RG to defend, and final points at wimbledon (which could go either way).
Federer has very little (by his standards) to defend until RG, where he defends a final spot which could be tough. Wimbledon though is where he has a great chance to gain points.
In summary:
Murray - roughly the same, maybe lose a small amount. IF he gets the slam breakthrough he could gain a few of course.
Djokovic - see him losing a few, I don't see him defending both his Masters titles personally. Possibly 500 points dropped.
Nadal - pretty similar, maybe a points gain from winning a Masters, +400 then.
Federer - staying roughly the same until RG, decent gain at Wimbledon.

I agree. Most likely Djoko will still be#1. 2,3 and 4 may trade places.

I hate to burst all your bubbles I think Novak is a strong favorite at wimby. His volleying , serving, and slice backhand have all improved greatly. I think his game on the grass is only growing. I think Novak will show very well this year in the grandslams. And grass has been his least favored surface but I think the way that he is developing on the grass
