The Only Way is Up? Zebre v Dragons Thread
First topic message reminder :
I'm not suggesting there's ever a good time to lose 3 - 60 at home, but the Dragons' trouncing at the hands of Glasgow came the week before our trip to Zebre, the only side below us in the Pro12. I'm not sure the timing could have been worse. They say you have to hit rock bottom before you can start to recover; I'm wondering whether Friday's game was our rock bottom, or whether we still have further to fall this coming Sunday.
What changes would you make to the starting XV? Do you expect to see any changes to the gameplan? And who do you expect to win?

The other way round could work though, if Kingsley comes in then I am pretty sure he would ant to be the head man

That's what I mean, Bedford, he'd want to be head coach, but Edwards is still under contract as head coach. I can't see Kingsley wanting to play second fiddle.

Just read the thread on N Robinson moving to Bristol, it is a shame he did not join the Dragons to add some experience tot the back line.

Robinson would be useless behind our front five. Don't see what the fuss is about getting a 10. Until the packs sorted the backs don't matter.

Nicky Robinson play for Newport? Doubt it somehow.

Dave,
I am sure the way you phrased it is a poor attempt at a WUM but the overridng element in anything these days is money. There is no loyalty in rugby anymore they are proffessional players and they go to where they can get the most pay - simples.

Go on Dragons, smashed the Zebras away from home!
Or, did we just scrape a win away against the worst side (just a bit worse than us) in the league?!
The problem is, they were probably missing a fair few internationals and we were missing 3 (if you include Lydiate who is international but injured). Tough times

If we win our remaining fixtures by one point I will be very happy!

Re: The Only Way is Up? Zebre v Dragons Thread
Look, the players must've been under so much pressure today after last week and then at 13-3 down. I am not happy with the squad or management after that Glasgow shambles, but to win that has lifted my spirits somewhat, as I didn't see it happening. Zebre have run better teams than us close and would have fancied their chances. Obviously a lot of people probably expected them to take us too.
For the rest of the season, I am not sure if we will win another game, as Leinster and Munster A generally beat us recently, Turks will beat us (as they generally do), Ospreys with their internationals will beat us at Castle Greyskull and Edinburgh will probably beat us at a packed Murrayfield (though if their form is shaky, we should target that again).

Plus playing twenty mins with 14 men is a fair effort, though I'd probably rather us not to have two props in the dusty.

Risca, the Dragons should definately target Munster. They have been awful in the Rabo.

Yeah fair one, but I won't expect frig all from it. We did have a few wins at home against them until last season and they will be weakened. We shall see.

Are you at home against Munster? If so; I would really fancy the Dragons as ROG could well be starting.
