As GSC said, until the new offers go upThe_Enigma wrote:Azzy - Regarding Player offers. Do they expire once tactics have been posted or by Sunday night when the next set of offers are due?
As for Lampard, there is no chance he'd leave Chelsea until his contract runs out. He loves the club and is desperate for a new deal. He knows he could walk into almost any other side if he has to leave, so why would he sign for any of our clubs?

Re: Admin section
My logic in the lampard situation was that, at this point, he can't move to another club now unless he's being released. As much as he loves playing for the club it looks like he's leaving at the end of the season. I just think he's be glad to get his future sorted out & he's openly said he wants to stay in the english leagues
Chelsea were rumored to have spoken to Lampard about a new deal, but they very next day they reported that no talks has actually taken place!
As for the Baros deal, I'd suspect that he'd sign for Sunderland, providing he's guaranteed some playing time.

Re: Admin section
I agree with Azzy, Lampard should not be allowed to join the league unless it's possibly West Ham later in the season if it's definite he won't get a new contract.
And Enigma, you shouldn't really comment like that. It makes the decisions on foreigns look weak.

Re: Admin section
Lampard's first choice at Chelsea currently, banging in the goals, and is so close to breaking the club scoring record. He simply wouldn't leave at this stage of his career.
He's supposedly had offers from United, Milan, LA Galaxy and a Chinese club. So why would any of the clubs in this league be of interest to him? If he does leave Chelsea it'll be to a top club, not a mid-table no-hoper like all ours.

Olsson-Yes
Baros-Yes but hes crap
Vydra-No, Udinese want to keep him within their system I believe.
Boyd-Yes
Bolasie-No, Palace under no pressure to sell after Zaha, esp at that low bid
Gordon-Idk your rules on FA but yes to both

I just assumed you said yes to my take, not the original bid. Oh well. To be fair, I think he's worth more than £2m.

Well I didn't know that Posh had accepted £500k for him, and as Marky didn't provide the link with his bid, that's why Posh asked for £2m. I've told him if he re-bids next week they'll accept £1m. His fault, not ours.
Cheers for all your help this week. I wonder how many bids Bull would make if it was unlimited

Either that or a brain tumour. A cousin of mine ignored the symptoms, got diagnosed, went home to tell his parents and found out his Mum had died. Telling your Dad you've got 3 months to live, when he's just lost his life, is pretty tough.
If symptoms persist, make an appointment to see your GP

Re: Admin section
Trebs (with apologies for missing it!):
Jardel Nivaldo, Benfica to Fulham, £1m loan fee with £3m further future fee - £2m loan fee with £5m permanent fee required - he's played a fair few games this season, and I can't see any rumours of him leaving. But knowing Portuguese teams and their love of selling players, he'd be allowed to leave for this.
Nando:
Kieran Trippier, Burnley to Southampton, £2m - £3.5m required - in this league they sold Charlie Austin so they don't need to sell.
CF:
Ryan Bertrand, Chelsea to Swansea, £6m - NO - Chelsea wouldn't let him leave at this stage of the season, having no other backup for Ashley Cole.
All yours GSC

Bull (2/5):
Josip Ilicic, Palermo to Stoke, £3m - NOT NOW - there is no chance that Palermo would sell arguably their best player, who has been linked with much bigger clubs than Stoke, at this crucial stage of the season, for such a low fee. If they get relegated they may reconsider - for a much higher bid.

Nivaldo-If they were asking for 4m as Trebs says (check?) shouldnt the fee be a straight 4m
Bertrand: No, Chelsea view him as Cole's successor even tho hes had a crap season
Ilicic-No
Hughes:Linked with bigger clubs than Norwich, seen United and Barca among others.

Re: Admin section
What about Trippier?
On Nivaldo, I can't find anything linking him to anyone. Have googled extensively. So without any links, no cheap deal.
On Hughes, I said yes because of the £6m release clause. If he actually gets good, ever, Olly can be forced to accept that through Player Offers.

My mate whose a Derby fan kept posting stuff about how Derby wanted 10m or something on twitter.
3m vs keeping their best player when they're still just in contention for the playoffs?

Ah, that's the clincher. It'd have to be £3m fee, £6m release, plus loaning him back for the rest of season 1. Sound fair to Derby?

Re: Admin section
That's preposterous lads. He's no Zaha, who's played for England and performed consistently at this level for nearly 3 years. Hughes is very, very young, playing at a sub-Premier League standard, and could not possibly demand such a high fee.
That said, I'll compromise with you GSC and agree £8m fee with a £12m release clause? As well as the loan back for the rest of season one.
Trebs - that link is from the Daily Mirror, which prints nonsense and isn't on our trusted list

Re: Admin section
Here are my votes btw:
Aston Villa 0-0 Wigan
Summary: Wigan's defensive formation stifled Villa's plans, but Wigan were unable to snatch a goal due to their lack of manpower going forward. Villa can consider themselves unlucky not to win, but when a team comes to park the bus, sometimes it works.
Fulham 2-0 West Ham
Scorers: Berbatov, Ruiz
Summary: Fulham prepared much better than West Ham for this game, and it paid dividends. Fulham were very well set up, both defensively and offensively, and they have a mix of players that are dangerous going forward. West Ham have a good side but need to prepare better for their next game.
Southampton 1-0 Stoke
Scorer: Taarabt
Summary: Southampton's formation worked wonders, nullifying Stoke's attacking threat while allowing them to attack at pace. Stoke's defence was unable to cope with the wing backs, and Saints dominated the middle of the park, Taarabt excelling in the free role.

Here they are mate:
Adrian Mariappa - £3m
Hal Robson-Kanu - £1.75m
You'll need to accept one (or sell someone) as you currently have a 31-man squad.

Just found that Gregers has 33 players and Liam 34
I think I'll have to ask everyone to keep squad numbers at 1-30 rather than this 30+ nonsense.

Re: Admin section
I kind of like issueing sqaud numbers to my team haha. Yeah, just maybe a gentle reminder on the home-page reminding everybody to keep on top of their sqauds.
Maybe, if they go over 30 players and their about to sign a player, they're not allowed to confirm/or allowed to play until they tidy up their sqauds and stick to the 30 player limits? Could also warn them that other teams can then nip-in and bid for that player to scare them slightly?

Marky (2/5):
Yoann Gourcuff, Lyon to Aston Villa, £7m - NO - while Lyon may want rid of him, there's no way he'd lower himself to anything less than European football and a quality team. He'd be a target for a top 8 team.
Enigma (1/5):
Miguel Monteiro, Free Agent to Reading, £0 - can't find him on TM for a start, so I can't allow a player into the league that I don't know exists
(Enigma, find him on TM for me please!)

Some outstanding bids GSC:
Azzy (1/5):
Chris Eagles, Bolton to Sunderland, £4m
Bull (3, 4 and 5/5):
John Heitinga, Everton to Stoke, £5.5m - YES
Alessio Cerci, Torino to Stoke, £3.5m - NO - he's a valuable player for Torino and with no links provided, I'm not convinved he'd ever leave Italy.
Marcel Sabitzer, Rapid Vienna to Stoke, £1.5m - £3m required - he's a very good young player with a burgeoning reputation, so they'd want more for him than you've offered.
