Lou Vincent retires from all cricket
title self explanatory

would have thought that he might have carried on playing more global t20 cricket, but he's called time on his cricket career.

Shame really as he could have been the answer to NZ's search for a defensive batsman to bat in NZ's problem number 3 position.

Re: Lou Vincent retires from all cricket
He's had plenty of issues through his career but, early on at least, he was a good asset for NZ.
Given his character it would be no surprise if he made another comeback (he has retired before) but on recent form isn't really good enough to nail down a place in a county side (when you take into account the stigma which kolpaks are subject to these days)

But he could play the Jonathan Trott role as a defensive style batsman to complement a more flamboyant player like a Ross Taylor or Brendan McCallum.

no he couldnt....he was an aggressor, he couldnt resist the big shot, hence why he primarily played t20

Well he was awful for Sussex in the 2011 season. Was on a fair whack as well. Come to that point where it is time to go. But he was an aggressive batsman he was only used in t20 and one day in domestic cricket for Sussex, Lancashire and Derbyshire i believe.
