World Club Challenge
What are your thoughts about fridays WCC between Leeds and Melbourne ?
Given Leeds start to the season and the loss of Hardaker im going to say a Storm win

Re: World Club Challenge
I just want to add
that the comments i have read from Cameron Smith regarding him looking forward to playing against Kevin Sinfield to show him who is the better player ( he obviously didnt like losing the golden boot to Kev ) cant be judged on one game so even if Melbourne win and Smith gets MoM that has no bearing on the golden boot result

Agreed however I think (sadly) Storm win irrespective of either factor. The NRL is stronger than SL IMO and despite our improvements I suspect they are pulling away at the moment.

Re: World Club Challenge
Half time 8-8, an interesting but not great game. Melbourne controlled first 20/25 mins, Leeds the last 15, causing Melbourne lots of problems. Ben Thaler has done surprisingly well as ref, though seems to have forgot about holding down and offside.

Biggest problem is listening to the sky commentators and pundits (god it's hard work,). Can't ee just retire them now please.

Melbourne win 18-14. Fully deserved it, played mainly conservative rugby, but with flashes of brilliance, and despite some dodgy calls going against them ( that try after the kick was never a forward pass).
Leeds got back into it after trailing 8-18, but other than a 10 min spell around there try seemed lackluster.

Good game , i thought the right team won but i dont think Leeds were embarassed they were in the game until the end . But yeh some dodgy calls on forward passes but until the change the rules and out law the flat pass there will always be calls that go against you .

A good game. Just a shame that Leeds couldn't pull off the victory.
