Questions needed for next podcast
Hi all,
Looks like I have secured the next interview - Peter Quillin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Quillin
He is the current WBO Middleweight champ and was the guy who finally retired Winky Wright.
Waiting for a confirmed time/ date but if you could all help with questions, that would be great.
Cheers

Re: Questions needed for next podcast
1) You only had 8 amateur bouts. Before you turned pro, for how long had you been in and around boxing clubs (sparring and such like)?
2) You hardly have any amateur (competition) experience, to what extent do you deem an amateur career to be important?
3) If an amateur career is important/beneficial then why do you think a lack of one has not proved a hinderance for you?
4) It's very unusual for a Cuban Pro to be without amateur experience. Do you think your lack of amateur credentials made it easier for you to turn pro (for example, you weren't subject to the normal obstacles placed in front of "established Cuban Internationals" who want to turn pro?)
5) In your opinion, is it important for those who turn pro with out an amateur career to have a big punch, for instance, Yourself, Seth Mitchell etc.

Do you think you could have beaten Winky in his prime?

Ask him what'll happen when Warren finds out he's run off with one of his WBO titles without asking??

Re: Questions needed for next podcast
Were you happy with your title winning fight against N'Dam or were you dissappointed that despite knocking him down 6 times that you didn't get the stoppage on your record
You have sparred both Golovkin and Chavez Jr, who would you most like to fight and who do you feel would win out of the 2 as they are both powerful guys who come to fight
What are you expecting from Guerrero in your next fight
Your 29 and stand at around 5'11, are you happy at campaigned middleweight atm and do you see yourself making the move up to 168

Did you come up with the "Kid Chocolate" moniker yourself, and are you a fan of the original?

I remember asking him that over twitter before. Apparently there has been a few Kid Chocolates over the years. Will ask him again though!

Kid Chocolate
Eligio Sardiñas Montalvo, better known as Kid Chocolate, was a Cuban boxer who enjoyed wild success both in the boxing ring and outside of it during the 1930s
Homage to a Cuban fighter he admires? His heritage is Cuban.

When you weigh in, do you ever get cold? (always wondered that before you kick off again)
