It is inferior in every single way to the male product. Why would you watch a sub standard product?

Newcastle City Centre...any night of the week, I'm sure there are plenty of lads cheering on women punching each other in the head.
In fact, Geordie Shore probably has more viewers than Boxnation

Re: Whatever happened to Women's boxing??
A top class female boxer of equal size could beat me, I'll say that.
I'll also say that from what I've seen of female boxing - which isn't much - they're not as good at it in any way as males. I don't disagree with them being allowed to do it, but they are far less entertaining and able. From what I've seen.

Over the years, we've discovered you struggle with nglish too.
However, I speak almost fluent Geordie cos I have an advantage as my mum is from Durham...they're a gentler version of the Geordies you generally see on telly.

In response to the article, is this inspired by the Irish Chick on the BBC Sport? She's cracking but I am old school and think women should stick to their traditional sports like gymnastics and hockey etc. Women playing cricket winds me up something chronic.

Re: Whatever happened to Women's boxing??
No it isn't, I just find you boring and pompous so I've taken to mocking you. This thread was tootling along quite nicely without you injecting your own particular brand of "state controlled consumerism" drivel. The media don't control what I'm interested in, my brain does. The fact the TV schedule is filled with cooking programmes, antiques shows, property development shows etc and yet I don't watch them should be evidence enough that the media don't control what I'm interested in. If this was the case there'd be 200 digital channels dedicated soley to Death Metal, crime novels, tattoos, Malt Whiskey and busty women in very skimpy outfits (yes the tv shows a lot of that but to be honest, I've always been interested in them and don't feel the media can take all the credit on that one)victorgarco wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Given that I watch the vast majority on my television, I'd say they very playing a pretty vital role...although so do NPower when you think about it!victorgarco wrote:Lumbering_Jack wrote:victorgarco wrote:Lumbering_Jack wrote:victorgarco wrote:superior or inferior everyone deserves the chance to follow their dream no matter their gender.

Nope, my ears, eyes and brain tell me that going to watch a band is better than sitting at home watching cooking shows. No prior media influence required. Also, if I was influenced buy the media re every facet of my life surely I'd have sold all my metal CD's and be flying over to America to watch One Direction rather than SLAYER. As I haven't nor do I have any intention of doing so and we agree that One Direction are one of the biggest current products of media hype one must surely conclude that the media DON'T control me.
