Team
Talk: After another fantsatic point before the international break we have a fantastic chance to win against a Norwich side that are not as strong as Fulham or Sunderland who we drew with. The 1-3-4-1-1- formation that worked so well last week is back. This
relies on Boyce sweeping, with Malouda and McGeady working hard on the
wings. Arshavin to play the drifting role with Kone finishing everything
off in style!
Al Habsi - Be strong in the air, communicate to Boyce and the three cbs
Boyce
- After a great performance last week I want you to do it again, sweep
up behind the three physical CBs, clear any balls that get through and
pick up the runners
Caldwell/Dunne/Alcarez
- Once again three
at the back, work as a unti to nerf their attacking players, they don't
have anyone who will appreciate you roughhousing them.
McCarthy/Watson
- When they have the ball I want a back 6 with you two sitting in front
of the 3 cbs and Boyce, as soon as we get it look to drive us forward
and get it to the wingers or Arshavin
Malouda/McGeady - Massive
game again this week, work hard to go back and prevent their wingers
from getting involved. When we have the ball get forward and beat your
man, whip in crosses for Kone and pullbacks for Arshavin
Arshavin
-Keep moving and don't switch off, just keep popping up in annoying
places for them. And then look for the wingers and link up with Kone.
You have proved over
the years what a shot you have on you so feel free to have a pop
Kone
- We will be playing counterattacking football with
Malouda/McGeady/Arshavin breaking quickly, if you get a chance finish
it. If we keep a clean sheet and then grab a goal then we win. It is
that simple!

------------------------Holt---------------------------------
Subs:Tremmel,McShane,Gower,Bent,Johnson
Captain: Vorm
Injuries: De Guzman,N'Zgobia,Boswinga
Hamstrung by injuries to 3 key players this week, however we still have a strong side out. Vorm captain and established no1. Strong back four, with St..Legder filling in at right back for the injured Boswinga. Diarra and Krychowiak strong just sitting in front of the back four strong in the tackle and key on the ball. Routledge and Maiga offer the width, with N'Zogbia out injured. KI sits just behind Holt and will get forward to support him. Will look to grab a draw or maybe sneak a 1-0 win to kickstart our season
Bent and Johnson will come on for Maiga and Holt respectivlry in the 2nd half.
WBA vs Sunderland

Team Talk:
Sunderland have lost their manager in recent weeks and will be learning their interim managers style of play. I want us to use our strength on the wings and get decent supply into the box. We’ve got more creativity in our midfield, which we lacked in the last game and believe we’ve got a great chance at winning tonight. Give the man in possession and option and get decent supply into the box for our attacker to feed off of.
Attacking tactics:
* Don’t let them box out any player I always want you to give the man in possession support.
* Yacub play a the deep lying playmaker and start off any attacks, look for long passes that can catch our opponents off guard and our wingers can feed off of
* Mulumbu your on a box-to-box role, I want to see lots of energy from you. Look to give the man on the ball an option
* Diego I want you to be our advanced playmaker and look for the runs of our front men and give them decent supply
* Brunt, Ince and Lukaku I want you to make darting runs into space and look to pick up and supply that Diego will give you. These runs will open up gaps for others to exploit
Defending tactics:
* Brunt & Ince double up on our fall backs to limit their supply from the wings.
* Mulumbu & Yacub sit in front of the defence and congest the midfield.
* Diego I want you to put pressure on the man in possession and force him into mistakes.
* Fullbacks alternate your runs so we’re not light at the back
* Coates & McAuley communicate and with the support of Yacub and Mulumbu in front of you I want you to zonally mark.
Subs:
If losing after 75 minutes – Mulumbu off for Long , Long to play alongside Lukaku in a 4-4-2 formation
VS
- Sunderland:
- Mignolet
Fanni-O'Shea-Lescott-Rat
Johnson-N'Diaye-Cattermole-McLean
Fletcher-Crouch
We're going to be tough to beat, solid at the back primarily, before we break from deep through out wide players who can either cut inside for a shot or feed our strikers
Fanni/Rat: If wingers play, prevent them cutting inside, push them down the flank. Push up to support the attack one at a time. if no wingers play, push up.
Lescott: Marshall the defense, get physical with their main striker. Feed it out to the flanks, don't get fancy.
O'Shea: Cover Lescott if no 2nd striker plays, if one does, take him.
N'Diaye/Cattermole: Cover the defense, fill the gaps if the FBs get caught forward. N'Diaye break from deep.
Johnson/McLean: Cut inside and get a shot off if possible, if not put in a cross for Fletcher/Crouch. Use the overlap when available.
Fletcher/Crouch: Be physical, win headers look to get on the end of crosses
West Ham vs Stoke
- West Ham:
- GK: Raphael Spiegel
RB: Guy Deme
LB: Jon Risse
CB: Winston Reid
CB Maynor Figueroa
RM: Nathan Dyer
LM: Joe Cole
CM: Mohamed Diamé
CM: Kevin Nolan C
ST: Andy Carroll
ST: Charlie Austin
Subs:
James Collins
Virgil Van Dijk
Danny Potts
Mark Noble
Liam Trotter
Matt Jarvis
Marouane Chamakh
Subs:
60th min Regardless of score - Cole off for Jarvis
70th min Regardless of score - Austin off for Chamakh
80th min if Winning - Carroll off for Van Dijk. If drawing Diame off for Trotter. If losing Reid off for Noble.
Corners:
Attacking - Carroll on the keeper. Figueroa attacking far post, Reid attacking near post. Both full backs to sit.
Defending - Carroll on the far post, Riise on the near post.
General Tactics:
Goalkeeper: Making you're 2nd start of the season, so more experience gained today. You were terrific in your last game, lets have that full awareness again and making sure that the back 4 stick to the game plan and don't switch off for the slightest of seconds. We need you commanding you're area a lot.
Defense: Full backs using your pace to join in a lot in the attacking, but making sure you stay tight to there wingers at all time, as they will use them as there form of attacking on the break. Center backs we know they like to hit it long, so we stay tight to there strikers and don't allow them to settle and build the attack. Ping lots of balls to Big Andy for him to open up our attacks and also look to play it out wide when possible. Were going to start off with a high line, but in the 2nd half slow it down to a deepish line.
Midfield: Wingers lots of taking on your full backs, you can murder them with your pace. Plenty of crosses into big andy and charlie to gobble up. Kevin and Mo, i want you to feed of Andy's hold of play and look to knock the ball out wide. Mo i want you siting and shielding the defense. Kevin a bit more attacking.
Strikers: Andy you will receive a lot of the ball. You and Charlie linked up very well last time you played. Lets continue this partnership this week. Charlie using his pace, can run onto knock on's. Andy when holding the ball, bring the midfield into play. You're both causing problems to defense, lets be ruthless in-front of goal today!
Team Talk:
Right lads, last week we were very unlucky to lose at a good team in Southampton. We defended as a team very well and stuck to our game plan superbly well, we were very unlucky not to get anything. Today we will have a full upton park crowd behind us, were going to start off attacking and causing Stoke to panic. Were going to have a high line and really push Stoke on the back foot. We welcome big andy back this week and his physical presense is a big boost. Lets go for it then boys and gets the 3 points! COME ON LADS!!!

- Stoke City Week 5 Tactics due to no tactics:
- ---------------Begović-----------
Cameron---Shawcross(C)--Huth-- Wilson
Shea---------Muntari ----Rode------Knightly
------------------Jerome------
--------------Bendtner--------
Subs: Walters, Etherington,Pennett,,Whitehead,Whelan,Heitinga,adam
Injuries Kenwyne Jones,marrone,adam
Tactics:
we can win this game its possible, press high and put the pressure on them and force them into mistakes.
Defending: Lots of communication needed along are back four, soak up the long balls that i played and make sure they are not allowed to break through, keep the line tight and clear any loose balls, dont allow there players to beat you and push them about and make sure you give them a lot of hassle , beware of there crosses and make sure they are given limited space to move freely, be aware of Lukaku and the balls played towards him if they have 2 up front then Long will be used to put crosses in so be aware and sharp and limit there chances and make sure he struggles to get past are defense
Attacking: Plays will be created through the wings, which have a lot of pace, this is where we can hit them by using this to are advantage, if we are pushed out them lay the ball into the middle for one or whip in crosses in to our strikers who will get there head on it, Loose balls will need picking up which we could use , make sure your makers are put into a lot of pressure and try to lose them to create and open play, push your player around and go in hard for the ball dont allow them so much space and make sure there time is limited, press high and force them into a mistake
Strikers: Make sure chances are not wasted and are used wisely, see an opening then try and run into a free space where the wingers will cross the ball in, make sure you finish well and use these chances wisely by creating a lot hassle for them by using your pace to beat players look to get through there D and try and create play by going for a run and keep ruining none stop as this will confuse there players into marking you and possible opening up chances.
Aston Villa vs Southampton
- Aston Villa:
- Aston Villa v Southampton
Injuries: Matthew Lowton, Brad Guzan, Hope Akpan4-4-2
Keiren Westwood
Phil Bardsley - Jores Okore – Joseph Yobo – Emilio Izaguirre
Pablo Hernandez - Victor Wanyama – Gareth Barry – George Boyd
Peter Odemwingie - Christian Benteke
Subs: Ciaran Clark, Siaka Tiene, Karim El Ahmadi, Michael Bradley, Stephen Ireland, Andreas Weimann, Gabriel Agbonlahor
To counter Southampton we are switching to a 4-4-2 formation, I want Yobo to go man for man with Lambert, Okore to track the second striker or AM’s runs and Wanyama to provide cover to make sure we’re 3 on 2 against their strikers. I want our fullbacks to be disciplined and force their wingbacks wide, don’t let them cut inside and block the crosses at source.
With the ball, I want Wanyama and Barry to build from the back, use Pablo Hernandez and George Boyd out wide as our main creative threats. Playing Pablo and Boyd on the wings as they have that unpredictability to create space and chances for the strikers. Also expected to be the two players who makes late breaks into the area to support Benteke and Odemwingie and keep the defenders guessing over who to mark.
Front two of Benteke and Odemwingie have great traits of pace, power and height. Get at the Southampton centrebacks and look to cause them problems by making runs in behind. Barry in midfield is superb at those diagonal passes in behind so look to react to them and ensure you stay onside.
Subs: 70 mins
(If winning): Odemwingie off, Bradley on. Move to a 4-5-1, with Bradley giving more CM cover, Benteke the lone striker.
(If drawing): Boyd off, Agbonlahor on. No change in formation, just a more attack minded player at LW. Push on for the win.
(If losing): Barry and Odemwingie off, Weimann and Agbonlahor on. Weimann to AM/SS and Agbonlahor joins Benteke up top as we play 4-1-3-2.
- Southampton:
- ------------------Gordon
Clyne------Forren------Williams---Shaw
Kačaniklić -Schneiderlin -Lallana - Benayoun
-------------Lambert -- Hooper
Subs: Boruc/Yoshida/Fonte/Roberto/Taarabt/Davis/Mayuka/
Gordon: Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Use all your experience to command your defence. Distribute short as much as possible. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence and sweep them up.
Clyne/Shaw You are part of a unit, so keep your shape and defend together. Play a high line to squeeze the space for them to play in. Pick up any wide players , keep tight and force them to cross from wide and deep as much as possible. Get forward when you can, to support the winger, overlapping and getting low balls in between keeper and defence.
Forren/Williams – Forren will pick up the main striker(Benteke), Williams will pick up any second striker if there is one(Aggy/Weimann). If not, he will play spare, sweeping up, plus tracking any midfield runners into the box. Play a high line to squeeze the space ahead of you.
Schneiderlin/Lallana –. Schneiderlin to sit in deeper playmaker position, get on the ball and dictate the tempo of the game, feeding the attackers. Get the ball either into the wingers feet, or in behind for them to run onto. Lallana to provide the drive and energy in midfield, breaking up attacks before they get going. Occasionally drive on to the edge of the box, looking for chances of shots on goal When the FBs get forward, you should both support the CBs and cover them.
Kačaniklić/Benayoun – Alternate between receiving the ball deep and running at the defence, and spinning in behind. When you get the ball, we want the full box of tricks. When we lose the ball, press the ball straight away and win it back as quickly as possible, then attack before they have a chance to organise themselves.
Lambert/Hooper – Hooperto provide pace and look to get in behind, to try and force their defence backwards. Lambert to drop a little deeper bringing the defence out. We want them unsure of whether to sit higher or deeper. Defensively, both press the ball early
Subs: Taarabt on for Lallana go 4-4-2 diamond if losing after 5 mins

TACTICS
Reading will be well set up tactically but we feel we have a stronger side and should be looking to win today to continue a title push. We are moving to a new look 4-3-3.
DEFENSE
In Samba we have a new leader at the back. He should dominate all of the headers and guide the younger Mirin through the game. Both are very strong players and should get all of the headers from their crosses. They lack creativity in the centre and will probably look wide. Aspas is a quick player and we should play a deeper line to prevent him using his pace as much. Marveaux and Kebe should be stuck to tightly by Reither and Molinaro. The midfielders should provide support just in front of the back four but be looking to dominate possession.
ATTACK
Huddlestone should sit deep and look to orchestrate the attacks with his long passing, with Capoue in a box to box role getting stuck in with tackles. Emmanuelson is an attacking midfielder who should get high up the pitch and look to run at their defense. In attack Varela and Ruiz have freedom to either go wide or cut in. They should keep the ball and show that trickery but also take shots on goal and pick on Hughes's lack of pace. Berbatov should look for that moment of genius to win us the game.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Varela
Right Corner - Emmanuelson
Free Kicks - Ruiz
Penalites - Berbatov

RB: Chris Gunter
CB: Aaron Hughes (C)
CB: Stoppila Sunzu
LB: Martin Olsson
CM: William Vainqueur
DM: Wilson Palacios
CM: Steven N'Zonzi
FW: Jimmy Kébé
FW: Iago Aspas
FW: Sylvain Marveaux
Subs - Alex McCarthy, Adam le Fondre, Askan Dejagah, Adrian Mariappa, Stephen Kelly, Garath McCleary, Mikele Leigertwood
Tactics: Let's bounce back from our first defeat of the season and put on a battling display! The pressure is on Fulham to get the result, so let's play with freedom by keeping the ball moving. Let’s stifle their attackers and look to hurt them with our pace.
Defenders, we’ll have to be alert today. Play a normal line man marking your targets. Full Backs stick close to the wide players, isolate them on the flanks stopping them from cutting inside. Rotate in getting forward overlapping with drilled crosses. CB’s physical, robust challenges. Dominate the box by sticking close to the markers not letting them turn or get the shot away.
Midfield, all 3 of you are going to have work together if we’re going to get anything this week. Use your height and physical approach from stopping Fulham from playing. Protect the backline by closing down in numbers. Scrap for everything! Going forward get your foot on the ball and play simple going forward. Don’t be afraid to hit the long ball with N’Zoni supporting attack with late runs, getting on the end of crosses.
Forwards, use your pace to really hurt them. Play off the last defenders shoulders running into the space. Don’t be afraid to take on players mixing thins up by either cutting inside taking the shot or by drilling crosses from the flanks. Close down from the front putting them under pressure forcing the errors, their inexperience will show. Jimmy Kébé, use your height and power to get on the end of crosses at the far post.
Subs – On 65 Mins - Askan Dejagah to replace Sylvain Marveaux. Like for like role
Norwich vs QPR
- Norwich Week 5 Tactics due to no tactics:
- Formation: 4-3-3
Starting XI:
GK - John Ruddy
RB - Steven Whittaker
CB - Brede Hangeland
CB - Sebastien Bassong
LB - Javier Garrido
RCM - Jonny Howson
CM - Alexander Tettey
LCM - Liam Bridcutt
ST - Kei Kamara
ST - Luciano Becchio
ST - Ricky Van Wolfswinkel
Subs:
Mark Bunn
Russell Martin
Anthony Pilkington
Wes Hoolahan
Elliott Bennett
Ron Vlaar
Bradley Johnson
--------------Ruddy--------------
Whittaker---Hangeland---Bassong---Garrido
--------Howson---Tettey---Bridcutt-------
---------Becchio---RVW---Kamara----------
General Tactic: Quite simple today, we know they like to play there sweeper formation, so we're just gonna throw our 3 huge target men up on the sweeper, and lump it forward to them, with midfielders breaking from deep. There defence won't be able to handle our physical presence. The defence can handle Kone/the wingers and Tettey will sit on the CAM nullifying him. We're gonna bombard them aerially, they won't be able to handle it.
Goalkeeper: Command the back four, make the saves we know you can. Look to go long, or distribute through full backs quickly.
Defence: Likely to be up against 1 up top today, so Hangeland pick up, Bassong cover. The FB's do not go forward, they play wingers, you guys win your one on one battle with them. Look to lump it up into one of the front 3, after they have pushed onto the sweeper.
Midfield: Big role for you three today. Tettey they like to play a CAM, so you sit on him and nullify him. The other two likely to be facing another two in CM, you get in and around them, stop them playing. Also want you to break from deep, try and get onto knockdowns from the strikers, make them track you.
Strikers: Get the heck on that sweeper. He will be sitting deep, so all of you go behind the 3 other CB's onto him, forcing them to get deep, or create a mismatch. Lumping it forward, so one go up for it, other two look to gamble/get onto knockdowns and shoot. They have nobody who can handle our aerial domination.
Subs: If winning/drawing: 65 mins - Johnson for Bridcutt, just some fresh legs for the cause.
If losing: 75 mins - Hoolahan for Tettey, Pilkington for Whittaker, Bennett for Garrido - Go 2-5-3, Pilks/Bennett on wings, Hoolahan behind 3 up top, just go for it
VS
- QPR:
- Formation: 4-2-3-1
Team XI:
GK: Cesar
RB: Angel Rangel
CB: Mbia
CB: Olssen
LB: Fabio
CM: Diakite
CM: Marquez
RW: Ramirez
CF: Michu
LW: Sinclair
ST: Remy
Bench:
Granero
Park
SWP
Townsend
Team Talk:
Right boys, they've got a couple of key players missing today, particularly in midfield. Their missing their first choice keeper so let's get at them show our supremacy today!
Tactics:
Defense
Mbia get tight to their central striker (Assuming its Bechio) and bully him out of the game. Use your superior strength and smother him. Olssen debut today, don't change a thing, watch out for their right winger cutting inside of Fabio and block any shots from that side. Fabio STAY ON YOUR FEET! your quick enough to catch anyone. Show them onto their weaker foot. Same for you Rangel, Van Wolfswinkel will look to cut inside whenever possible so show him down the line where he'll struggle. Ramirez double up on Ricky he's their main threat.
Midfield
Marquez I've brought you in because you know how to dictate a game. They're weak in midfield so look to thread balls through to Michu and in behind for Remy and keep up a high tempo when in possession. Diakite stay deep and sweep up any loose balls. Have a feeling Hoolahan will come in, he's quick and agile but if you get tight to him and don't allow him to turn and has his back facing to goal, he can't hurt us. Ramirez and Sinclair, do your thing and cut inside and have plenty of shots against their replacement goalkeeper. Look for Fabio and Rangel, they'll be overlapping and will be too much for Whitaker and Garrido.
Attackers
Michu be aware when Marquez is on the ball, he'll be looking for you allot. When you receive the ball look to play it behind their full backs, we have allot of attacking threat down the wings so look to use them and we can really hurt them there. Take advantage of their losses in midfield also. Any chance to shoot on goal have a pop due to their first choice keeper not being there. Remy, goal poacher today, stay in and around the 6 yard goal for the tap ins, there'll be plenty of threat down the flanks so I want you ready to finish off the crosses. Stay on the shoulder of the last man and look to spin in behind, they won't catch you and you'll be through on goal.

QPR tactics vs West Ham as they haven't been put on the page yet

Ramirez Michu Sinclair

Team Talk:
Right team we've finally got round to playing a game! so let's show the league what's been missing. We've got so many talented players going forward, let's play to our strengths and take the game to West Ham.
Tactics:
Keeper and Back Four:
Distribute to the full backs and build from the back. Also look for Britton as he will drop deep and be our main passer. Onouha and Mbia, stay strong and look to get in nice and tight to Caroll. Stop him playing and we stop West Ham, so look to mark him out of the game and don't allow him to bring the ball down. Fabio, get forward and support Sinclair, look to over lap him and attack the full back.
Midfield:
Britton, drop deep and look to pass to our more attacking players. Get the ball out wide where we can really hurt them. You'll know Michu from your Swansea days, so look for him whenever he's free. Diakite, bully their midfield, your a big lad so boss that area. Look after Nolan because him and Caroll will be the main threats. If Caroll is able to bring the ball down, get in and around him quickly. Ramirez, look to cut inside and have a shot whenever possible. Also look for to play in Remy in behind the back four.
Sincalir, same to you, cut inside and plenty of shots, but also look for the runs of Michu and Remy in behind.
Forward:
Remy, stay up top and use your pace to get in behind the back four. They can't keep up with you once your're in behind them. Take your chances and give the talented midfielders we got options.
Subs:
If winning:
SWP on for Ramirez, Mackie for Sinclair (Run all day), Zamora for Remy (Hold the ball up).
If Losing:
Granero for Sinclair, Hoilett for Ramirez, Jenas for Diakite.

Please note: These tactics were written early in the week and do not account for transfers made.
TACTICS
Our side has been decimated by injuries this week (thanks Azzy's mate!) causing a bit of a reshuffle but this is a chance for the players coming in this week to prove themselves. We should look to dominate the midfield battle and win the game from there. Berbatov is an impact subsitute today.
DEFENSE
The back four need to stay tight and make sure that we take up good positions. We have two centre backs who are quick and can keep up with Kone pacewise so we can play a slightly higher line. Lichaj and Riether should be solid today and deal with their wingers by making them go out wide where they are not a goal threat. Arshavin should be marked tightly and frustrated, Capoue sitting just in front of the defense. Emmaneuslon and Huddlestone should be quick to win back the ball and start up attacks.
ATTACK
We should overload their midfield with our three all looking to pass the ball around. McCarthy aside, none of their midfielders look like helping defensively so we should have a lot of room. Huddlestone and Emmanuelson should spray passes across the pitch while Ruiz and Redmond should use their pace to take on their men, cut inside, be a goal threat. Rodallega should try to lead the line by being quick and making plenty of runs across their defense.
Berbatov should come on at half time if things aren't going our way to partner Rodallega in attack and should sit just in front of the back four and find a killer pass.
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning, bring on Duff and Sidwell for Ruiz and Redmond. Duff and Emmanuelson on the wings, be tight in midfield and try to dominate possession.
If drawing/losing, bring on Berbatov for Redmond moving to a 4-4-2 with Ruiz and Emmanuelson on the wings. Look to attack more and give the full backs more license to get forward.

Team Talk: We're playing one of the best sides in the league and hence have set up to stiffle them. 4 at the back but playing Boyce as a traditional sweeper to pick up any of Fulhams players who somehow manage to break through our defence. Defend like trojans and use our wide players, Arshavin and Kone to knick a goal. Lets upset the odds today and get outselves up the table.
Al Habsi - Be strong in the air, command our center backs
Boyce - Sweeper role as is all the fashion out in the eastern European leagues. This can work fantasically for us with you picking up anyplayers that break through and mopping up any through balls
Caldwell/Dunne/Alcarez - Three at the back so work as a unit, be physical as Berbatov and co won't appreciate being bumped around. The three of you have so much experience so make this count today
McCarthy/Watson - Big game today as you will link our sturdy defence to our attacks. When they have the ball get back and prevent them having anyroom to play in. When we get the ball get it wide or to Arshavin
Malouda/McGeady - When they have the ball get back and track their wingers. As soon as we get it break forward and attack their fullbacks who aren't that strong. Drive past them and whip in a cross for Kone to finish
Arshavin - Make a nuisence of yourself all game and don't let their dcm settle on you, look for the wingers and link up with Kone. You have proved over the years what a shot you have on you so feel free to have a pop
Kone - Use your pace and don't switch off, we will be absorbing a lot of pressure so when we get a chance we need to take it. Every shot equalling a goal... that is the ratio I want today!
Norwich v Aston Villa
- Norwich:
- Injuries: Elliott Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Wesley Hoolahan
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI:
GK - John Ruddy
RB - Steven Whittaker
CB - Brede Hangeland
CB - Sebastien Bassong
LB - Javier Garrido
RM - Robert Snodgrass
CM - Jonny Howson
CM - Alexander Tettey
LM - Anthony Pilkington
ST - Ricky Van Wolfswinkel
ST - Kei Kamara
Subs:

Michael Turner
Liam Bridcutt
William Buckley
Luciano Becchio
Simeon Jackson
Ruddy
Whittaker---Hangeland---Bassong---Garrido
Snodgrass---Howson---Tettey---Pilkington
--------Van Wolfswinkel---Kamara--------
General Tactic: Today boys we are going to play a high tempo, direct 4-4-2. When we defend, it is a simple two banks of four, solid. We don't want to play a high line, due to there pace, so don't pressure two high up the pitch, but when they enter our half we put pressure on them, right from the front. In attack we attack with pace. We can go long to our physical, quick forwards, or get the ball out wide quickly to the wingers to get crosses in. Lets take the game to them today, we need the win!
Tactical Instructions:
Goalkeeper: Command the back four, make the saves we know you can. When distributing hit Kamara/Van Wolfswinkel quick.
Defence: Right today they are quick and strong up front. So Hangeland and Bassong need to be strong against Benteke, don't let him bully you. You bully him, rough him up. Full backs they have pace out wide, so get tight and don't give them space. Go through them early, rough them up, put a seed of doubt in there mind.
Midfield: You have a big role today. You must show strength, energy, stamina. Howson and Tettey you guys need to be box to box today. One goes, one stays in attack. Get in and around there CM's, don't allow them to play the ball around. Snodgrass and Pilkington they are weak at FB, you guys need to get at them and get good quality crosses in for our aerially good strikers. It is crucial in defence that you provide a bank of four as well as pressing them.
Attackers: You two are going to cause havoc today. You are both big strong lads, we will look to use that today by playing more direct. Kamara I want you to use your pace to try and get in behind off RVW flick ons. RVW look to flick it on for Kamara or bring it down and play out wide. We will be looking for crosses today, both of you are aerially brilliant, so look to get us bagfuls of goals against a leaky defence today.
Subs:
If winning: 70 mins - Bridcutt for Kamara, Buckley for Snodgrass - Go 4-5-1, shut up shop.
If losing/drawing: 65 mins - Becchio for Snodgrass, Bridcutt for Pilkington - go 4-3-3, with 3 CM's and 3 ST's. Pump it long, put them under pressure, go gung ho
- Aston Villa:
Injuries: Marc Albrighton, George Boyd, Gareth Barry
Starting XI:
-----------------------------4-2-3-1
------------------------Keiren Westwood
Phil Bardsley – Titus Bramble – Ciaran Clark – Siaka Tiene
----------------Victor Wanyama – Karim El Ahmadi
Peter Odemwingie - Andreas Weimann - Gabriel Agbonlahor
-----------------------Christian Benteke
Subs: Brad Guzan, Olof Mellberg, Carlos Cuellar, Yacouba Sylla, Simon Vukcevic, Simon Dawkins, Darren Bent
Tactics: A tough game ahead, Norwich’s main threat is Van Wolfswinkel, so I want Clark to outpace him and Bramble to beast him. Like us, they will also be high on confidence after an unbeaten start, however they haven’t strengthened in midfield so I want us to get at them early, take control of the ball and look to get at them.
Our back four will look to build attacks from the back, and cut off the supply to Van Wolfswinkel. With Wanyama and El Ahmadi ahead of them, we have a solid base. Start from the back, go through midfield with Wanyama, El Ahmadi and Weimann dropping deep.
Look for the runs forward from Odemwingie and Agbonlahor, alternatively play it to Benteke who can hold up play and feed the three men behind him. Weimann is not expected to chase back, he is our more advanced midfielder with the aim of creating for us. Wanyama and El Ahmadi our DM’s when we don’t have the ball, help out the back four and cover when either fullback gets forward.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Sylla on, Weimann off. Sylla the third CM and we go to 4-5-1.
If drawing: “Hey there you with the sad face, come up to my place and live it up”. No changes.
If losing: Bent on, Odemwingie off. Weimann to RF, Agbonlahor to LF, Bent and Benteke at CF in a 4-2-4. If we get level, Weimann and Agbonlahor to drop back to RM and LM respectively.
QPR v West Ham
- QPR:
- Team:
Cesar
Boswinga Mbia Onouha Fabio
Britton Diakite
Ramirez Michu Sinclair
Remy

70th min Regardless of score - Nolan off for Trotter
80th min if Winning - Austin off for Collins. If drawing J Cole off for Jarvis. If losing Tomkins off for Chamakh.
Corners
Attacking - Caroll on the keeper. Collins attacking far post, Tomkins attacking near post. Both full backs to sit.
Defending - Caroll on the far post, Figuora on the near post.
General Tactics
Keeper - Seize your chance, big chance for you today, so grab it with both hands. You will be in for a busy afternoon, so show us the talent you have! You have a very strong back 4 in front of you, so keep them organised at all time.
Defense - QPR will be looking to come at us esspicaly in the opening stages of the game, so start off with a deep line and as the game wears on build up the line higher up the pitch. Center backs go for long balls when possible to either the chest or head of Andy. Full backs stay tight to there wingers and don't allow them any time or space. Plenty of attacking as well.
Midfield - Wingers always look to run at your full backs, destroy them with your electric pace and look to get plenty of crosses into big andy and Charlie. Kevin and Diame lots of running, Diame always be there to support to your back 4. Whilst Kevin always look to support your strikers, use your experience well which did well last week to win the game. Look to get the ball out wide, or play to the ball to andy's feet for him to hold it up and bring others into play.
Strikers - You 2 can easily become the best partnership in the league. Andy when receiving the ball to head, look to knock the ball on for Charlie to use his pace. Andy look to link up well with Charlie, lay him off for him to lash home. Charlie when anywhere in the penalty area, look to have a pop your incredible track record speaks for itself.
Team Talk
Right lads, fantastic win last week, WHO WANTS TO KEEP THE RUN GOING? I DO! QPR will look to attack at us from the get go, lets frustrate them and stick to our game. Were physically a lot stronger than them and they won't be able to cope with us. Defense you were superb last week, keep the same standard out. Lets keep our fantastic team spirit we showed last week and give our fans something to sing about. COME ON LADS!!!
Reading v West Brom
- Reading:
- Starting Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI
GK: Alex McCarthy
RB: Chris Gunter
CB: Stoppila Sunzu
CB: Aaron Hughes ©
LB: Martin Olsson
RM: Askan Dejagah
CM: Wilson Palacios
CM: Mikele Leigertwood
LM: Jimmy Kébé
FW: Iago Aspas
FW: Adam le Fondre
Tactics: Great start to the season so let’s carry on this momentum! Keep battling and show we can survive in this league, keep the ball moving working for each other. Let’s try to be a little more adventurous going forward getting the home crowd right being us!
Defenders this week we’ll be playing a normal line. Drop deeper for high/long balls dealing with the aerial threat, CB’s take it in turns to compete aerially with the other sweeping up. Physical approach/challenges sticking close to markers throwing bodies on the line. Full-Backs look to isolate the wingers on the flanks not allowing them to link play up inside, overlap on the counter.
Midfielders defensively look to maintain your shape of two lines of four throughout, nearest to the ball charge down closing up the spaces. Keep the ball moving and look to make space/options for each other. CM’s scrap for everything winning key battles, pick up high and second balls, simple passes starting out attacks, Leigertwood deep runs supporting attacking play. Wingers get on the ball and look to make things happen. Run the by-line drilling in both high & low crosses. On occasions look to cut inside to link-up play. Jimmy Kébé late run’s onto the far post using your height/power to win headers.
Forwards, use your sharpness and pace to pester the defenders. Make yourselves nuisances by pressuring them high up the pitch. Force the errors and capitalise. Play on the shoulder of the last defenders, running into the space behind.
Subs: Adrian Mariappa, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Ian Harte, Ashley Westwood, Daniel Carrico, Garath McCleary, Jobi McAnuff
On 71 Mins: Pavel Pogrebnyak will replace Adam le Fondre. Physical presence upfront, look to win aerial balls linking up with Forwards/Wingers. Throw yourself onto the end of crosses.
On 75 Mins: Ashley Westwood to swap with Mikele Leigertwood. Fresh pair of legs in the centre of the park. Break play up and start things moving forward. Box-to-Box role.

Clyne-----------------------------Shaw
------Coquelin-------Schneiderlin
--------------Taarabt
----------Lambert -- Mayuka
Subs: Boruc/Yoshida/Hooiveld/Lallana/Kačaniklić/Sergi Roberto/Guidetti
Team Talk: After defeat last week we're reverting to week 1 formation that worked well for us, Their likely to play 1 up top as they have each week so far so we've got 3 cb's to cover that.
Gordon: Expecting alot of Ariel attacking today with Grant Holt being the main forward so if crosses come in the box come and clear it either catch or punch, if catch then release to a full back
Forren: I want you to watch for on coming attackers presumably Hernandez/Vaz Te, Make sure they can't get the ball into Holt, If they come down the right wing then double up with Clyne
Astori: Your a beast in the air so your be up against Holt, He likes to back in so by physical with him and make sure he doesn't if he does then jump so you go over him getting a foul, Make sure he doesn't turn you force him away from goal
Williams: Your going to be spare defender clearing up what mess is made if Holt turns Astori then you get back at him, If Vaz Te/Hernandez/Maiga get in behind use your pace to clear up, If they come down the left wing double team with Shaw
Clyne: It's all about defending and attacking as a unit today, you like to get forward so when we have the ball you will create the width for us,When defending sit in and make sure they can't get down the wing, Look to whip crosses in as we have the height of Lambert in the box
Shaw: Same as Clyne we go forward as a unit so when we do your be the width on our left take on Rangel with Pace as their winger won't want to track back,When defending don't let him get the cross in
Coquelin: Sit in front of the defence today look to sit on their AM or block the line into Holt, Make sure he doesn't have time to settle on the ball get to his knockdowns, if they AM drifts behind then leave him Williams will pick him up
Schneiderlin: Your be key today as your be the source of our play with your range of passing, If have the ball look to get it into Taarabt or out to a winger, On occasions don't be afraid to hit it long to Lambert. When Defending sit with Coquelin block the space into Holt to limit his supply, Don't be afraid to get amongst the midfield
Taarabt: Your in a free role today Adel, since we're playing with wing back you can drift from right to left to centre whereever you need to be to influence the play, Mayuka will make runs in behind with his blistering pace,Lambert will be available to link up with to make runs off of, If we're defending then sit on their DM make sure he doesn't have too much time on the ball, Don't be afraid to shoot either we know your capable of it
Lambert: I want you to stick onto Chico Flores today, Bully him use your height and strength to dominate him, Look for flicks on or chest it down and release it and make you way into the box, If in the box come from the far post inwards to make sure he can't back into you.
Mayuka: The main reason your playing today is pace , Christopher Samba isn't the fastest CB so i want you to make runs in behind off him weather it's a Lambert flick on or a Taarabt through ball just make sure you get goal side of him don't let him force you away from goal.
Subs: Lallana/Kačaniklić on if losing for Forren/Mayuka - go 4-3-3 with Taarabt wide left, Kačaniklić Wide right Lallana as AM
if
if drawing then Taarabt off for Guidetti and go 5-2-2-1 - with Mayuka/Guidetti running off Lambert as CF's - Play long ball

--Routledge----------------------------------Ki----------------
------------------Holt---------------Moore------------------
Subs: Tremmel, Bartley,Agustien,Vaz Te, Maiga
After we clearly went to gung-ho last week, we are playing a normal 4-4-2 this week...Back 4 and keeper stay the same, with Vorm retaining the captaincy. Due Guzman and Hernandez sitting in the centre of midfield protecting the back four and also getting the ball wide and to the strikers...Routledge and Ki offer the width, to get crosses into Holt and Moore...Holt will get into the box for crosses and is strong in the air...Moore has a bit of pace and can run at the defenders....Can also shoot from range...

Injuries Kenwyne Jones, Andy Wilkinson, Thomas Sorensen
Tactics:
we got a draw last week but need a win and it is possible this week, i want us to show we can handle pressure and use are chances wisely and make sure to use our strength to push them off the ball
Defending: Lots of communication needed along are back four, soak up the long balls that i played and make sure they are not allowed to break through, keep the line tight and clear any loose balls, dont allow there players to beat you and push them about and make sure you give them a lot of hassle , beware of there crosses and make sure they are given limited space to move freely, be aware of Marin and make sure he does not dominate in the hole and limit there chances to Fletcher who will be a key target after there injury to Johnson, push there players off the ball if needed dont be scared to get gritty.
Attacking: Plays will be created through the wings, which have a lot of pace, this is where we can hit them by using this to are advantage, if we are pushed out them lay the ball into the middle for one or whip in crosses in to our strikers who will get there head on it, Loose balls will need picking up which we could use , make sure your makers are put into a lot of pressure and try to lose them to create and open play, push your player around and go in hard for the ball dont allow them so much space and make sure there time in the middle is limited and Fletcher does not receive passes
Strikers: Make sure chances are not wasted and are used wisely, see an opening then try and run into a free space where the wingers will cross the ball in, make sure you finish well and use these chances wisely by creating a lot hassle for them by using your pace to beat players for example O'shea look to get through there D and try and create play by going for a run and keep ruining none stop as this will confuse there players into marking you and possible opening up chances.
- Sunderland:
Sunderland line-up:
------------------- Mignolet ------------------
O’Shea ----- Gallas ----- Lescott ----- Rat
-------------------- Josue ---------------------
Sessegnon ------- Marin -------- McLean
------------ Baros ------- Fletcher ----------
Subs: Given, Rose, Cattermole, N’Diaye, Eagles, N’Zogbia, Crouch
Injuries: David Vaughan + Rod Fanni + Adam Johnson
ATTACKING: I want you to play a pass and move game, which will keep the opposition running and tire them out. Rat and O’Shea need to support McLean and Sessegnon, who need to get plenty of balls played into the box to Fletcher and Baros.
DEFENDING: All players must track back. I want you to press the opposition, chase down all loose balls, and basically pressurise the opposition into making mistakes. Then when you win the ball, remember to play pass and move to stretch and tire the opposition. Josue must sit between the defence and midfield and ensure that Stoke’s AM is stifled.
INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Mignolet: let the CBs know if you can claim the ball or if there is danger lurking around. Parry shots away from danger, try to catch the ball but punch to distance if you need to.
Lescott: you will pick up the main striker. Keep tight on him, don’t let him push you about, and if he moves then move with him. Make sure you don’t dive in - keep him at bay until Gallas or Rat can come across to dispossess him.
Gallas: you will pick up the second striker (if there is one) and stick with him at all times. If they play with one forward, you will sit slightly deeper than Lescott, covering for him and ensuring that the rest of the defence know their jobs. If there is a break from midfield, I want you to step in and deal with it.
O’Shea: I want you to support Sessegnon down the right flank, give him a short option but always ensure that you are in position. Keep the winger out wide and close him down to prevent the cross.
Rat: I want you to support McLean down the left flank, give him a short option but always ensure that you are in position defensively. Keep the winger out wide and close him down to prevent the cross.
Josue: Sit deep and break up the play. I want you to get stuck in physically, really make the opposition afraid to attack. When on the ball, keep it moving – get the ball to Marin or get Sessegnon or McLean in down the flanks.
Sessegnon: I want you to get on the ball and attack the full back, run at him, take him on, beat him, then look to either get the ball into the box for Fletcher and Baros or cut inside and shoot.
Marin: you have one task today: unlock the defence and win the game! I want you to be creative, attack at will, get balls forward to Fletcher and Baros or wide to Sessegnon/McLean.
McLean: I want you to get on the ball and attack the full back, run at him, take him on, beat him, then look to get the ball into the box for Fletcher and Baros.
Fletcher: I want you to keep the CBs confused so keep moving, and make plenty of diagonal runs across them. Your teammates will use the space you create, so make sure you drag defenders with you, and get into the box for crosses and half-chances.
Baros: Stoke won’t be expecting you to start, so I want you to do what you do best – hang on the shoulder of their slowest CB and get in behind their defence to nick a goal. There will be plenty of crosses coming into the box – work your way free to put a header or two away for us.
Subs:
If winning after 75mins: N’Zogbia for Sessegnon. No change in formation, tactic now is to get the ball to Marin, N’Zogbia and McLean and let them run at the tiring opposition defence.
If drawing after 75mins: Eagles for Sessegnon. Play 4-4-2, get lots of balls into the box for Fletcher and Baros.
If losing after 75mins: Eagles and Crouch for Josue and Sessegnon. Play 4-3-3 with Eagles in the CM role, wingers must cross for Crouch and Fletcher, while Baros can sit in the hole and grab us a rebound effort.

Talk: After an awesome point last week against an extremely strong Fulham side lets go one better against Sunderland this week, we're going with our new 1-3-4-1-1- formation that worked so well last week. This relies on Boyce sweeping, with Malouda and McGeady working hard on the wings. Arshavin to play the drifting role with Kone finishing everything off in style!
Al Habsi - Be strong in the air, communicate to Boyce and the three cbs
Boyce
- After a great performance last week I want you to do it again, sweep up behind the three physical CBs, clear any balls that get through and pick up the runners
Caldwell/Dunne/Alcarez
- Once again three at the back, work as a unti to nerf their attacking players, they don't have anyone who will appreciate you roughhousing them.
McCarthur/Watson - When they have the ball I want a back 6 with you two sitting in front of the 3 cbs and Boyce, as soon as we get it look to drive us forward and get it to the wingers or Arshavin
Malouda/McGeady - Massive game again this week, work hard to go back and prevent their wingers from getting involved. When we have the ball get forward and beat your man, whip in crosses for Kone and pullbacks for Arshavin
Arshavin -Keep moving and don't switch off, just keep popping up in annoying places for them. And then look for the wingers and link up with Kone. You have proved over
the years what a shot you have on you so feel free to have a pop
Kone
- We will be playing counterattacking football with Malouda/McGeady/Arshavin breaking quickly, if you get a chance finish it. If we keep a clean sheet and then grab a goal then we win. It is that simple!

With the injuries we have a slight re-shuffle, with Gower coming in to sit in front of the defence...we have a better shape this week, and players are reverted back to their normal roles...Ki and Hernandez, are in the middle but can go wide when needed...they will thread the ball to Maiga and Moore who will offer natural width, and get balls into the box to natural goalscorer Holt...Our defence remains un-changed and settled. Johnson will come on for holt midway through the 2nd half.

Injuries Kenwyne Jones, Glenn Whelan, Jermaine Pennant
Tactics:
we got a draw last week but need a win and it is possible this week, as they will be missing a key man in midfield so i want us to dominate there limit there time on the ball and press high, this is a winnable game!
Defending: Lots of communication needed along are back four, soak up the long balls that i played and make sure they are not allowed to break through, keep the line tight and clear any loose balls, dont allow there players to beat you and push them about and make sure you give them a lot of hassle , beware of there crosses and make sure they are given limited space to move freely, be aware of Holt and make sure he struggles to get past are defense and limit he's chances.
Attacking: Plays will be created through the wings, which have a lot of pace, this is where we can hit them by using this to are advantage, if we are pushed out them lay the ball into the middle for one or whip in crosses in to our strikers who will get there head on it, Loose balls will need picking up which we could use , make sure your makers are put into a lot of pressure and try to lose them to create and open play, push your player around and go in hard for the ball dont allow them so much space and make sure there time is limited, press high and force them into a mistake they are missing a key man in Jonathan De Guzman and we should be able to dominate the middle.

General Tactics
Goalkeeper: You're back in the team this week, pick up where you left off. Lots of commanding your defense and controlling your area, that you have done so brilliantly at this season.
Defense: Full backs lots of attacking play today, with your pace we know we have this added benefit we have seen. Help our wingers in attacking moves, but also always sticking tight to there wingers. James and Winston, play a high line to start off with, really push Reading on the back foot and make them panic, like we did against Norwich then start to build from there and drop off. Look for high balls to big Andy.
Midfield: Look to bully Reading's midfield. Kevin and Mo use your experience well again, look to knock the ball out wide when possible and feed off andy's knock down. Mo shielding that back 4, and Kevin supporting the attackers. Wingers lots of taking on your full backs and wiping plenty of crosses into our hungry strikers, who will be deadly in the area.
Strikers: Andy continue your fine form. You and Charlie linked up brilliantly last week and lets continue it this week. Andy knocking the headers on to Charlie Pace. When receiving the ball to chest play the ball to Kevin and Mo then get the attack going, or feet look to knock the ball out wide like we have been doing so well.
Team Talk:
We did really well despite defeat last week lads, lets continue that high standard this week. Really look to go at Reading from minute one, get them nervous then punish them. Defense always on your guard for counter attacks, Strikers need you taking chances this week, so we can look to kill the game early on. Lets get upton park buzzing, COME ON LADS!!!

Tactics:
Let’s keep pushing this mentality and momentum to put on a spirited display! We’re in for a war, so we’re going to have to step up physically and battle competing all over the park. Everybody writes us off every week; let’s prove them wrong hurting them on the ball.
Defenders, communicate keeping good shape at all times playing a deeper line. Centre Backs, strong physical approach deal with every aerial ball, clear your lines anyway effectively. Isolate/Frustrate Carroll if he’s lone striker. Tight marking, give them no room to turn. Full-Backs isolate wide-play; don’t allow them to cut inside looking to link up attacking play. RB drill crosses on overlap. Harte, deadly set-pieces.
Palacios, holding role man marking attacking players. Physical challenges picking up attacking players picking up loose/second balls. Slot in amongst the backline dealing with crosses/high-balls. CM’s close down the space defensively in numbers. Always be available for short options then look to play an array of passes into the spaces making us tick. Swap taking turns in supporting attacking play.
Wide-Players, defensively shield your full-backs by doubling up on wingers. Close down the full-backs when in possession making life difficult. Going forward, look to take on your markers, torment them with your pace. Keep them guessing by hitting the by-line and cutting inside.
ALF tournament them with your pace, pressure them high up the pitch defending from the front. Look to get the ball to feet and link up attacking play. Don’t be afraid to twist and turn defenders shooting on site!

Aston Villa v QPR
- Aston Villa:
4-2-3-1
Brad Guzan
Phil Bardsley – Jores Okore – Joseph Yobo – Matt Taylor
Victor Wanyama – Gareth Barry
Peter Odemwingie – Andreas Weimann – Gabriel Agbonlahor
Christian Benteke
Subs: Carlos Cuellar, Joe Bennett, Karim El Ahmadi, Hope Akpan, George Boyd, Marc Albrighton, Darren Bent
QPR are pretty unpredictable, they have attacking fullbacks and will look to get at us down the wings. I expect Barry to give Taylor cover and the same of Wanyama for Bardsley. Whichever side isn’t being attacked that DM stays in the middle and if the play is switched, the DM’s shuffle across with play.
Two new CB’s but I expect Okore to be the one who clears up while Yobo targets Remy. Wanyama and Barry between them to keep tabs on Michu, force him away from goal as the further away he is, the less impact he can have.
Front four unchanged, Odemwingie and Agbonlahor to punish their attacking fullbacks, get balls into the area and cut inside when possible, link up with Weimann and Benteke.
Subs: 70 mins
(If winning): Weimann and Agbonlahor off, El Ahmadi and Boyd on. Move to a 4-5-1, with El Ahmadi giving more CM cover, Boyd to LW and Odemwingie stays at RW.
(If drawing): Agbonlahor off, Boyd on. No change in formation, just a trickier and more out and out LW. Push on for the win.
(If losing): Barry off, Boyd on. Weimann pushes forward alongside Benteke, Boyd to AM and we play 4-1-3-2.
VS
- Queens Park Rangers:
Cesar
Luke Young Hill Onouha Fabio
Britton Diakite
Ramirez Michu Sinclair
Remy
Team talk:
Great win last week lads. Tough game here today but they won't fancy our attacking threat at all today. We got too much for their defence so be confident when out there today. Respect them and what they can bring, get the job done today and let's get 3 points out of this and start climbing the table to where we should be.
Tactics:
Cesar:
-Be aware of Benteke's presence
-Look for Britton with goal kicks and general distribution. Don't want any more pressure on our defence than what's needed.
Young/Fabio:
-Fabio looks to get forward as much as possible and overlap Sinclair. Stay on your feet when up against their winger, you have the pace so stay on your feet
-Young stay back so we have cover if we lose the ball. Use your experience and look to contain their winger. Show him on onto their weaker foot and block those crosses. Don't want to give Benteke a sniff
Onouha/Hill:
-Stay tight to Benteke. One stay on him whilst the other contains their CAM.
-Much like Caroll last week, stop Benteke we stop Villa, so don't allow him to hold the ball up or bring the ball down on his chest. Rough him up a bit if needed, he's inexperienced at the end of the day
Britton/Diakite
-Britton look to keep the tempo nice and high. We play at a high tempo Villa won't be able to handle us. Look for Michu in behind their cdm's, especially Barry who isn't very quick on the turn
-Diakite stay nice and tight to their CAM and be aware of Wanyama's runs forward. If anyone can stop him in full flight its you no doubt.
Ramirez/Sinclair:
-Cut in inside whenever possible and look to have shots on goal. Both capable of finding the back of the net.
-Sinclair look to use Fabio when he's forward and Ramirez get back to help out Young against the winger. Double up so he's not exposed.
-Both look for the ball in behind for Remy who's on the last shoulder, and for Michu in between the cb's and cdm's.
Michu:
-Free role today, stay in between Wanyama and Barry. Don't drop deep, stay where you most threatening, in the final third
-When Barry get's the ball, close him down and don't allow him to settle. We can expose him today
Remy:
-Stay on the last man's shoulder. They haven't got very quick cb's so stay with their slowest and stay on his shoulder. Don't worry about offsides, only takes one chance and you'll take it
Subs
If Winning:
-Park on for Britton
-Zamora for Sinclair, Remy out wide
-Mackie for Ramirez
If Losing:
-Hoilett for Sinclair
-Townsend for Ramirez
-Jenas for Diakite

TACTICS
Expecting a difficult game against Norwich, but we are well equipped to deal with them. We should look to attack down the wings as they look weak there. They lack creativity in the centre and will look to go wide with their attacks so quick pressure is required.
DEFENSE
Gillet is a top keeper with a lot of experience and should be vocal in the box. Reither and Riise need to force their wingers onto their weaker foot, don't go diving in with tackles just look to jockey. Senderos and Mirin are good powerful defenders and should try to win everything in the air and clear the ball quickly. van Wolfswinkel is a goalscorer and should not be given any time or space at all. Capoue and Huddlestone should provide the protection for our defense by pressing their midfielders, with Emmanuelson just in front in a three man midfield. Ruiz should stay forward with Berbatov and Adriano preventing them from committing men forward.
ATTACK
Ruiz and Emmanuelson are 'drifting' wide players today, always get infield and be a goal threat. Huddlestone should ping long passes forward to the forwards, and Adriano should look to play on the shoulder of the last man and be clinical in front of goal. Berbatov has a free role between their midfield and defense, look to pick out the killer pass, or go for goal. Freedom to do what you feel, provide the spark to our team. Hangeland and Bassong are good in the air but not the quickest so go for lots of passing play rather than playing hoofball.
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Duff for Adriano. Go to a 4-3-3 with Berbatov being the lead man and Emmanuelson at CM.
If drawing bring on Rodallega for Emmanuelson. Move to a 4-2-1-3 formation with Rodallega and Ruiz either side of Adriano in attack.
If losing bring on Baker and Duff for Reither and Riise, going to an all out attack 3-4-3.

-----------------Hoolahan----------------
--------Van Wolfswinkel---Becchio--------
General Tactic: Quite simple today lads, we are going to surprise them with a diamond midfield, and look to take to them with a swashbuckling brand of attacking football. The back four is the same that kept clean sheets at home to Utd and Arsenal IRL, so we are solid there, Tettey will hold fort in midfield, the wingers have pace, can beat a FB and get dangerous balls in. Hoolahan to sit and weave his magic in the hole, RVW and Becchio to stick it in the net and rough up there CB's.
Tactical Instructions:
Goalkeeper: Command the back four, make the saves we know you can. Look to go long, or distribute through full backs quickly.
Defence: You guys are solid as shown with clean sheets against Utd and Arsenal. Turner win everything in the air, Bassong cover. If Berba plays up front, get right into him, he isn't up for a battle. Full backs they have good wingers, so get tight and no crosses. Look to get the ball off the GK and hit Hoolahan or your winger quickly.
Midfield: You have a big role today. Tettey you anchor the team. You sit there, and help defensively with the back four. Wingers whilst I want you to track back, I want you to really pin there FB's back by taking them on and whipping crosses in. Hoolahan you sit in the hole and hit the wide men, or a through ball. You can find that yard of space and hit the killer ball, do it today.
Attackers: You two are going to cause havoc today. You are both big strong lads, we will look to use that today by whipping loads of crosses in. They are weak at CB, especially with Davies out, so get stuck in and dominate, make sure you win the headers so we can take advantage of our attacking talent.
Subs:
If winning: 70 mins - Bridcutt for Hoolahan, Fox for Becchio - Go 4-5-1, shut up shop.
If losing/drawing: 65 mins - Kamara for Bennett, Bridcutt for Pilkington, Fox for Hoolahan - go 4-3-3, with 3 CM's and 3 ST's. Pump it long, put them under pressure, go gung ho

Re: Tactic Page - Week 6
I think general consensus is that it's treated like playing with 10 men - but one of Marky / Enigma / Trebs / GSC may wish to confirm that?Spanish Dave wrote:What's CF punishment?
