Alternate positions (bit of fun)
You can take this seriously or for fun if you like.
I actually think some players could do an admirable job (if not better) in a different position.
As an example I would like to see this alternate Welsh backline.
15. James Hook
14. Jamie Roberts
13. George North
12. Gavin Henson
11. Alex Cuthbert
10. Leigh Halfpenny
9. Mike Phillips
Hook does well at 15 for Wales and he's too talented to omit
Henson and North in midfield would be amazing
Roberts is better on the wing
Halfpenny at 10 would be very exciting

Re: Alternate positions (bit of fun)
I'm sure all all fellow Scottish posters will agree that Richie Vernon is wasted in the backrow and should make the switch to centre...

Would you pick that backline Saturday or on your tour to north America?

Re: Alternate positions (bit of fun)
I wonder if Phillips could play 9 instead of 6, probably not tbh.

Re: Alternate positions (bit of fun)
Has Halfpenny ever played anywhere near flyhalf? I'm not aware of any players who have successfully moved to a half back position having not played there in their early career. 9 and 10 are very difficult positions to do well, just being a brilliant fullback is no qualification for playing there.
