Wales U20 - England U20 title decider.
First topic message reminder :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/21758093
Wales U20s: Wales Under-20: Jordan Williams (Scarlets/Llanelli); Harry Robinson (Blues), Cory Allen (Blues/Cardiff), Jack Dixon (Dragons), Ashley Evans (Ospreys/Bridgend); Sam Davies (Ospreys/Swansea), Rhodri Williams (Scarlets/Llandovery); Nicky Thomas (Ospreys/Swansea), Elliot Dee (Bedwas), Nicky Smith (Ospreys/Swansea), Carwyn Jones (Scarlets/Carmarthen), Rhodri Hughes (Ospreys/Swansea), Ellis Jenkins (capt, Blues/Cardiff), Daniel Thomas (Scarlets/Llanelli), Ieuan Jones (Dragons).
Replacements: Ethan Lewis (Blues/Cardiff), Gareth Thomas (Scarlets /Carmarthen), Dan Suter (Ospreys/Bridgend), Jack Jones (Ospreys/Rovigo), Sion Bennett (Scarlets/Carmarthen) Joshua Davies (Dragons/Bedwas), Hallam Amos (Dragons), Steffan Hughes (Scarlets/Llanelli).
Four changes to the side that beat Scotland. Dixon, Evans, Dee and Smith. The undefeated Wales now get to test themselves against one of the top U20 sides in world rugby in a sold out Parc Erias. If Wales win then it is their first win over England and first title at U20 level. Any win for England will see them take the title. This squad this year is probably the best we have had at this level so we have a good chance. Last years crop were not good in the 6 Nations but did well with a stronger squad at the JWC. Many have remained at U20s since then.

9-8 to Wales, but England have a pen in the Wales 22.

Happy with that from an English point of view, they've kept the ball in hand, given it a lash and look good for the lead.

Was gonna be a pen try otherwise.
I assume English tactics will be maul, pen, line, maul. Repeat until a try is scorer. We just can not defend against it

Some very strange decisions from the ref in the first 20 minutes, but he seems to have settled down. I think England have played pretty well so far.

I agree though we are starting well and the scrum is improving. Welsh forwards are doing well on the floor at the breakdown. I am proud to see the ambition and skill.

Sampson Lee would have been a very handy man for Wales tonight.
That said three welsh put ins and England conceded a penalty on all three.
Good strait shove on all three

The ultimate driving machine!
I like the competition this ref is allowing at the breakdown, but on the downside he's also letting go too much clutter, not releasing the tackler, not rolling away and lazy runners.

and also German lol
Wales had 100% penalty at the start of the 2nd half, the England lad was totally alone with 4 Welsh guys on him and it took an age for any back up from England but the ref allowed him to hold the ball for far too long. Still a good open game and very enjoyable even if I have to watch it on Lime TV lol

Having criticised him he's given penalties for a few of the things I mentioned in the last few minutes, but he wasn't in the first half.

Poor calls by the ref their. England backwards trying to set up their maul post line out. They weren't asked to use it. Eventually get it rolling and penalty against Wales.
Divine justice intervened as the young England lad missed the posts.

Aye...!
Shame, Wales really couldn't match the power of those England forwards.
Can't wait for Rhodri Williams and Cory Allen to make senior rugby. Both have been outstanding this year

Impressive from the young Eng side. This Welsh side were up for this GS and to take it away took some doing.

Wales were tenacious and showed good breakdown skills, they should have backed themselves and kept the ball in hand more.
Pleased with the win, 3 tries to nill is not to be sniffed at and I am pretty sure quite a few of these English boys will be available for selection net year as well. Well done lads.

Na no way, they'll be lost in Aviva Premiership squads where coaches will be to frightened to take a chance of them for fear of getting relegated. Most of these lads won't have the oppertunity to develop.
The Welsh boys on the other hand will probably be capped internationals within 2 years. God bless the Dragons and their 2 hot dogs and a free pint of lager pay structure!

Re: Wales U20 - England U20 title decider.
Wales gave England a real headache at the breakdown where the lack of a fetcher showed against Wales tenacious ability. Wales also looked good going wide and trying to outflank us, but apart from that England's power, control and game structure were a step up, with 11 to 14 also looking strong and sharp carrying, providing plenty of linebreaks.

Re: Wales U20 - England U20 title decider.
Yes good solid performance and plenty of ambition showed in wet conditions. Plenty of good performances tonight.
I thought the scrum might have been more dominant but I felt England bossed the game in most areas.
Shame the close loss to Ireland stopped a slam.
