Peter Stringer will remain with Bath Rugby for the remainder of the current season.

Confirming the news today a statement read, "Following discussion between Munster Rugby and Bath Rugby and with the player’s representative, it has been agreed that Peter Stringer will remain with the Aviva Premiership club for the remainder of the current season."

Stringer (35) joined Bath Rugby in January when the opportunity to play first team rugby consistently for Munster wasn’t forthcoming and as that situation still pertains, all parties are happy for that arrangement to continue.

I'm glad that Cathal Sheridan has emerged but I really can't stand that other muppet Duncan Williams. Stringer would be a superb guy to bring on off the bench. Munster fans really want him to come home.

He's been bloooody brilliant for us, brought real life into the team. Many of us, myself included would love to have him next season as well

Does that mean he has to play another season before he can retire in order to get the tax refund? Good for him, Williams must be happy

To get the tax he has to finish hiis career in Ireland, since he's on loan is he techniqually still a Munster player and can retire?

If not when Stringer returns will he spend it in Connacht?

If Munster are willing to loan him now, and by next year the other SH's will have gained more experience, surley then he won't be required next year either.
