Had to come. Excellent by Warriors.
Top of the League Maaw.
Congrats Warriors fans. They really showed up in the 2nd half. Devastating when they run the ball. Far more clinical this week.
They mean business.

Just watched Munster being totally and utterly outclassed since half-time. The guard has changed. This Glasgow side is going places, Munster look like mid-table side.
Think Glasgow are favourites for Pro12 to be honest, but we can beat them if we get our early season form back.

I think Ulster and Leinster could both beat Glasgow, but you'd have to say that they are the form team in the league by a long way right now. They are racking up bonus point wins in nearly every outing.

Great try by Munster there, Howlett's still go it
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster, Scotstoun, Friday 29 March, 20:05 hrs
Jackson has been excellent as have several players but they really should be looking to keep Barclay. He has been fantastic recently and brings a lot of good link play around the park. The backrow of Strauss Barclay and Wilson has a great balance to it and I don't know what Vernon will bring to it.

Great try by Munster. Finally Munster make a line break. Lualala made it- they must persevere with him next season.

I've never seen Jackson play as well as that, alround great show from him, keep it up please. Glasgow have improved so much as the season has gone on, shame the HK came a bit too soon otherwise I'm sure we'd still be in it as well.
Please can somebody discover that the Fiji v Scotland game last summer was a non cap match and therefore Nico can still qualify for us, please? Wishful thinking unfortunately...

Wow Munster won't want to see that error count. Christ. Pretty porous defence and decision making.
Casey conceeded 3 of the tries but scored one or two of them

I find it strange that Penny refuses to play JJ or even have him in the bench. It has to be said that JJ is being completed wasted at Munster.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster, Scotstoun, Friday 29 March, 20:05 hrs
It was kind of truly a game of two halves.... no not in how the actual game swung. No, it was never a real competition in that sense in my eyes.
The two halves are that: Yeah, Glasgow were actually as good as they looked.
They met a side and they bullied them, carved them up and spit them out at the end. Just an all out performance of rugby played at its best - ball kept alive at every opportunity, genuine line breaking invention, genuine pace and clarity of purpose.
But, the second half is: Yeah, and Munster truly were that bad!
There is no excuse for a Province with such a rich history that it should play like a side ...well, like the lowest Italian side of five years ago.
It shouldn't be acceptable that Munster could come onto the field and play that game. O'Gara really is fading away. He kicked into the mouth of the team that were only wishing for him to give it back to them. He was lost...at sea. Not blaming him for his team-mates efforts but he certainly didn't help steady the boat.
I can't see where the rescue is going to come from. Nothing seems to be working. Everytime the game is rushed or another team injects pace, Munster just crumbles in ability and plays with blind panic and no obvious ability to contain or to deaden the pace.
Will next season really bring about a big improvement? Penney season two? Hmmmm. Not so sure now.
Only chink of light is that Munster, giving how things aren't exactly working out for them this season, are maybe holding just a tad (just a tiny tad) back for an effort of sorts in HEC. They probably already knew the Pro12 was gone for this year.
That's taking nothing away from Glasgow. They played it the way I love it to be played - never give a sucker a chance. Score as much as you can if you can.

????? Well that would bamboozle me. Oh well, maybe I really do look at life differently to the majority. But I felt sorry for O'Gara. He's really not up to it anymore. But maybe I'm totally wrong too - hell if the Munster fans think he did well who am I to disagree!!!

JJ Hanrahan is a miles better players than ROG is now and he is 100 times more suited to the Penney game plan. He scored 2 tries playing center in 2 games this season while Downey and Lualala who have been playing all season have scored about 3 tries between them. CJ Stander, a player scoring tries for the Blue Bulls cannot even make the HEC squad so wasn't played. James Downey is played but they never give him the ball. Denis Hurley would have been on the wing again if he was fit despite being slower than a grandmother in need of a hip replacement
We all know Duncan Williams is beyond useless but Penney keeps playing him. There are at least 20 All Ireland league players better than him in his position. Meanwhile Peter Stringer is on loan in Bath, not wanted by Munster. Rob Penney would want to get a grip or pack his bags.
Next week Munster should take on Quins up front. POM and Donnacha Ryan will be back and they usually give the team a big lift.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster, Scotstoun, Friday 29 March, 20:05 hrs
I was watching this game up until 34th minute mark last night but I went out. Just watched rest of the game... what a crazy match. Glasgow were on fire in the 2nd half. They leaked a try but the game was so open that it was pretty much inevitable. I have never seen a team cut Munster apart like that before.
Jiffy mentioned on scrum V that Glasgow would slip back down the rankings and Ospreys would move up, yet Glasgow sit top now with a 4 point lead.
I still think Glasgow could potentially stuff it up, but you would have to say they are favourites now surely? They have a really strong team with lots of options in every position.
Hogg's try was unbelievable. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Hogg has to be the fastest player in NH, he seems to score most of his try's through sheer pace.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Munster, Scotstoun, Friday 29 March, 20:05 hrs
Morning all, Have just surfaced after my first evening at Scotstoun. If I hadn't forsaken my ancestral home for the fleshpots, and steady employment, that make up the stinking sewer of hedonism that is sunny Essex then I would be a season ticket holder. A marvellous display of running, adventurous rugby.
Impressions of the evening;
Muzza Low really steadied the scrum when he came on.
No Maits probably saved the game in the first minute; Munster had a five on two overlap and he went for the interception - a 14 point swing in our favour. If they had scored off their first possession things might have been very different. The best players make the right decisions at the right time.
Niko plays a different game from everyone else and he is real diamond.
Josh Strauss may be our best foriegn signing, he battered the Munster forwards into submission with his relentless driving carries.
Hogg was as incisive as a surgeon's scalpel.
The Messiah rose at Easter and scored with his first touch, I'm a believer!
UlsterMan In Glasgow in his working clothes spreads happiness among the children of the followers- a true gift Clyde and good on you.
Finally, if Schizoid offers to extend the hand of freindship to you take him up on the offer, but get in some paracetomol for the next day. A genuine rugby man and a pleasure to share a sherbert with.
p.s. 51 points on Munster OH YESSS ya beauty.

Tell you what I can't help think what is going through Barclay's head these days - he's coming into the form of his life playing in a successful winning team who are challenging for a trophy, and he's potentially faced with leaving all that to play 2nd division rugby with Lyon next year....
A player like that deserves a top club coming after him.
And Hogg surely has to go to the Lions - 1/2P and Kearny are great players but none of them can do what he does in attack. He's like a new Jason Robinson!

Jimbo,
take it you made the 2330 fae Glasgow Central ?
We got up and did the 5K in Pollok Park - still feel a bit of a cris de foie now mind
I reckon that is the best I have ever seen (2nd 40) from The Warriors.
Strauss is an awesome player - cannot wait for him to become qualified.
PS What the hell would Jiffy know about rugby - a one eyed moron

Schiz, yes and arrived safely at the mother-in-law's. The game last night was everything that Scotland-Wales was not.
51 points on Munster, it gets better every time you say it . A win in Lannelli will probably guarantee us a play off spot, although it really is four from five at the moment with Ulster probably feeling most under pressure. Slightly harsh given the season they've had but a defeat today keeps them in freefall.
Once again a superb evening and I owe you and yours a return on your hospitality. p.s. give ASBO my regards.

Amazing result for Glasgow
So as a Quins fan, seeing that Munster have just taken a beating and we've just lost a close one to Glos.
Can we expect a wounded Munster animal coming to the Stoop to deal out the pain? Or will they be looking only at the Rabo now and not focussing too much on Europe?
And do Munster always struggle against high temp opposition, or is this a bit of a blip?

Them and Quins are in a contest to go to Clermont and get beaten.
Last time Quins had a home quarter in the HC................
They lost to the eventual winner. the eventual winner beat the reigning champs in anaway semi that was in the home city of the away team.
Confused?
