liriano no-hitter
first no-hitter of the season last night from liriano
wouldn't bet on it being the last one this season, my money is on one of the marlins staff getting one and you can never rule out halladay
couple of weird stats about the liriano no-hitter tho and why you would not have expected him to throw one;
hes never pitched a complete game before let alone a no-hitter
he was sitting on a 9.13 era before last night and was in danger of getting dropped from the rotation.
are we going to have another "year of the pitcher" ?

Well there's been another no-hitter today, so maybe you're right.
Justin Verlander for the Tigers against the Blue Jays. Not quite a perfect game, but still an impressive performance.

Re: liriano no-hitter
second career no-hitter for verlander
wonder if we will see last years incredible total of no-hitters challenged this year , there have been quite a few other attempts reaching 7th or 8th innings as well already
