The difference being converting potential into deserved success. NZ haven't as yet. In fact they are shocking in KO rugby.
But I'd still put your mortgage on the ABs doing the business this time around.
Your not getting anywhere near my mortgage, you can bet your own!

How so? Spain to dominate football and England to dominate cricket. That's why I said 'respectively'.Gibson wrote:SafeAsMilk wrote:Having said that Spain and England could easily dominate (football and cricket respectively) for some time to come. I ought to want England to win the WC. But I can't as they are no way currently near good enough to be worthy champs.

That's what the quarter-final, semi-final and final is all about proving, Portnoy. You don't win the world cup in the group stages, but as Scotland know you can lose it.Portnoy wrote:cricketfan90 wrote:i honestly still think NZ will win it, obviosuly i want england to win it though lol

My bad, Safe. Wish I could read properly, That would help. Sorry bud.
But... Nederland - along with Deutchland - will dominate European and World football for years to come. Spain have shot their bolt. Wrong sport section... right sentiment.

Nay worries, Gibson Would like to see the Oranges do well, the Germans have had enough success but no doubt will always be up there too. Vorsch sprung durch technik and all that.Gibson wrote:SafeAsMilk wrote:How so? Spain to dominate football and England to dominate cricket. Why has Australia got 14% of the vote over both Ireland and England? The Safas are going to annihilate them this weekend. Its a SAFA, KIWI, ENGLAND splitter

If they don't lose to SA... then you'll know why, I suppose.

Re: Who is going to win the Rugby World Cup
Way I see it is that Safrica are the better side with the Carter gone and the wing issue but New Zealand have what amounts to a bye in the quarters. Whichever of the sanzars wins the semi will most likely win the cup.
So safrica or NZ, i have pennies on safrica because the odds were better.

Re: Who is going to win the Rugby World Cup
It fun to read back at some of the stuff written way back on here back in May.
I would like to point out, that I predicted a Wales v NZ final! I so wish I would have put my money where my mouth was!
Having said that, if I was going to take a punt now, I would say a Aus v Wales final - just have this feeling.....

Re: Who is going to win the Rugby World Cup
Yes hobo. Eithers a good bet.
Wales have the goods to rip 2 more matches off thats for sure.
They'll need to go up another notch but they actually just look like they could.
I think we'll see the real oz today and a confident SA may just be stunned first half. Just not sure it will be enough.

Re: Who is going to win the Rugby World Cup
I hope NZ absolutely stuff France.
They thrashed them in the group stages and after that performance against Australia I can't see the French being able to raise their game anywhere close to matching the All Blacks.
They've historically proven to be a bogey team, but NZ are on home turf and will have most of the stadium roaring them on.

That's more pressure though. I can't see France winning, but want them to make a decent fist of it, make it competitive at least.
