I would like to think that I am not biased as such, I am just rather unaware of rugby outside this island.
15. Dagg
14. Habana
13. Smith
12. Fofana
11. Savea
10. Carter
9. ...Genia? Bit uninformed here
8. Read -very tough call
7. McCaw
6. SOB??? Tbh I can't think of a player that close to him when he is on form, maybe Lobbe, Aussie blindside?

1.Healy
2.Du Plessis
3.Jones
4.Etzebeth
5.O'Connell
6.O'Brien - some may question it but I rate him very highly!
7.McCaw

9.Genia
10.Carter
11.Savea
12.Nonu
13.Smith
14.O'Connor - Habana close behind
15.Dagg
16.Best 17.Woodcock 18.Franks 19.Whitelock 20.Parisse 21.Smith 22.Cruden 23.Halfpenny
Players who narrowly miss out - Hayman, Mas, Ferris (due to injury), Lobbe, Picamoles, Fotuali'i, Nick Evans, BOD, Bowe
Incidentally I think it sums up why NZ's backs are such a potent attacking force when there is a decent argument that the three best 10's in the world are all from NZ!

Out of everyone right now forgetting injury:

2. B Du Plessis
3. D Cole
4. B Botha
5. N Sharpe
6. W Alberts
7. R McCaw

15. I Dagg
16. A Strauss 17. A Sheridan 18. A Jones 19. I Evans 20. J Kaino 21. M Para 22. D Carter 23. J O'Connor
All highly subjective of course. SR seems to be a bit under catered for these days with some good guys coming through. Cruden deserves to get one over on Carter at least once!

Think from SA I'd pick Goosen over Lambie if i had the choice though Lambie is an exciting player and ferocious tackler.

Re: World XV,... Who's in your dream team?
Goosen is one for the future GG for sure but hope Lambie is persisted with by Meyer this season due to Goosen's injury. I just think the little fella needs to be eased more into top flight rugby much like Cruden. When he puts in consistent performances with the Cheetahs, then by all means select him for the Boks but put a young man too early into test rugby in such a key position and you play a risky game with his long term prospects.

Re: World XV,... Who's in your dream team?
A fit Cory Jane would be on the wing for me.
I like the look of Goosen and love that he gets to play with the Cheetahs. But it seems his confidence is rather shaky at test level. Let's hope he becomes more comfortable as I'd love to see a Bok 10 with a really attacking running mindset. I like Lambie a lot too.

As it's a dream team, I think there's some flexibility as to how you interpret who is playing right now. Depending on the time zone, it could be slim pickings...

Re: World XV,... Who's in your dream team?
But how much is he playing with? He's testing the limits and given his opportunities beyond sport, I can see why he's trying to maximise those opportunities now.
Maybe that's because I see problems for us in 2015 at 12 and 6 and still hold out hope that Kaino and SBW can fill those voids for us then.
Maybe it's because I see myself in his position and think doing what he's doing would be a lot more lucrative and probably enjoyable than say what Richie McCaw has done in his career.

True, but I think he recouped a bit, being the WBA imternational heavyweight champion...
No criticism on him though, other than the Bulldog debacle, he has left every place of employment on cordial terms. And he does seem to improve the teams he is on.

Re: World XV,... Who's in your dream team?
He reminds me of a big kid. I wanna give everything a go. You encourage kids to do that and to have fun but then when it happens in the big bucks world of professional sport you slag him off. He has to demand big coin as he's only signing one year contracts so if he gets a career ending injury he's screwed. But I reckon good on him. Sometimes the status quo needs to be challenged.

Re: World XV,... Who's in your dream team?
He's certainly not going to die of curiosity wondering what might have been. We all admire people like McCaw who put loyalty first but someone with that much all-round sporting talent and you can't help but feel this guy is taking the p. By no means anybody of note as a boxer but it takes courage to give it a go and risk ridicule when you're noted for something else. Jordan tried baseball and came back to basketball but he gave it a go. Is that any different to somebody who stays too long in any given sport making it difficult to remember why he made a name for himself in that sport.

Doesn't quite fit the OP criteria Biltong unless some of those older players are playing in your head still. That said, a great match up.

Eh if Kunis was playing Id put her in at prop and Id play second row so I could give her a guilt free reach around in the scrum.

Yes. We're going to win the King's Cup this year and get into the Champions next season. Only 50 euros more on a 225 season ticket to get Champions matches as well. You can't buy a beer in the Bernabeu for that...
