Somehow I don't think this match will make it into the "Crucible Classics" segment in the year 2019....

Good fight by Hawkins, 4 frames in a row. One for the purists is the kindest way to describe this game.

It's so bad it's great. Hard to believe there have been 5 centuries in the match; 4 more than the other semi-final.

The nearest thing to the exhilaration i felt watching this match is when i went naked bungie jumping with Angelina Jolie

The one thing that's really annoyed me this week is the commentators saying that he looks really focused. He's a professional sportsman playing in the sport's biggest tournament, I'd be pretty annoyed if he wasn't really focused.

i think they have all been trying to make it easy on him , but credit were credit is due hes in the final without hitting his best form

Exactly. I always had doubts over his matchplay ability but with age has come a little bit of maturity. I stress the "little bit" though. There have been glimpses of his best form but like last year, the chances are he's going to win it without really hitting 100%, just like Higgins in 2011.

To be fair to him thats not his fault , its upto the others to play better and beat him
