think this possibly could be a high scoring game.
Scarlets edge it with a stronger bench to come on. But sure Phil Davies will be coming down to put one over his former team.

I would prefer one of the starting locks within the Scarlets 23 being welsh qualified. Ideally, I would want both locks to be welsh qualified. I would prefer the Scarlets to have an all welsh qualified bench.

Dave: have I cursed this match? what do you think the score will be mate?
inter197: 6 of the 8 on the bench are welsh qualified. the two starting locks are "time serving" so will be WQ in 3 years.

Good team, lets start to push for this bonus point I think, we nedd it because the ospreys are far from push overs and even though they have 2 hard games in glasgow and leinster they have done it before.
Also is it me who is suprised phil john is constantly starting all the time, I mean we have rhodri jones on the bench all the time who should be starting, he isn't even coming on ealry on in the second half. We also have rob evans coming through who needs to be given more shots before another welsh region or english side like exeter/bristol pick him up, I tell you what rob evans is going to be the leading looshead for wales one day. Every game i have seen him play he has been outstanding for the U20's (especially both games agianst the baby blacks), he had one game agianst sale in the LV as well, we were struggling in the scrums really but when he came on he absolutely destroyed Henry thomas. I hope he gets more of a chance next season than just 1 game for the scarlets in this season (and it was in the LV).

Hopefully we will see some tries in this game
Blues have been improving and will be up for this game, however, unless they get a lead I think they will fall off and the Scarlets having playoffs at stake will take it by 5-10

After yesterdays result in Glasgow the playoffs are well within reach. We just need to secure the win, a TBP would more or less guarantee a playoff spot but a one point win with no tries would do me right now.

Key word for the Blues= combinations
Paterson has to give Jones and Patchell a platform, if he does Roberts will give Patchell security and we may have a game on.
Sadly Fillise will get mullered up front as usual, looking forward to seeing how Dacey and Williams go though.

I see you have an Owen Williams on both sides lads. The great early 90s Welsh name shortage?

Electric start, Blues finally looking to have a go now that all is lost.
Blues look a lot more potent with an on form Lloyd Williams and the threat of Roberts in midfield.
Still the same stupid mistakes though

How on earth did Robinson get capped?
Tom James is a big loss for the Blues
Halfpenny playing a dangerous game kicking to that back 3 when he has 2 wingers who are not big kickers

Sometimes that not contesting the maul tactic really annoys me, sometime it makes me very happy...I think it depend on if it is my team doing it.

Owen Williams taken very late then - lucky it wasn't a YC really
Kick lands well within kicking range.
Great break in midfield by O.Williams again - he really should be at 13, he has created 3 breaks in midfield in the last 2 games I have seen while on the wing!

JD2 with lovely try, we know about his scoring but so far when given the chance he's distributed well. Good game so far for him, Owens, Warbs, and 1/2p

Harry Robinson - 2 awful passes in a minute takes all the pressure off the Scarlets and gives them a penalty in the other half of the field.

Some nice phases by the Blues
Paterson getting involved well carrying with the 8 on his back
Pity Gavin Evans can't pass or I think Owen Williams would have been free on the outside
Nice to see Roberts get involved
Blues need something here after ignoring the advantage

It's interesting to see the two 10s playing head to head as both with be aiming to tour this summer.
Navidi being outshone by Warbs though still putting in a good shift and i expect to see him go to Japan.
Ken Owens competing for a Lions spot, I'd take him over the likes of Hartley or Ford.
North been quiet so far.
JD2 showed some nice hands so far and some nice attacking.
Match has been a good one, Blues have lacked control with the ball and it turns scrappy, but that's just making it much more entertaining

How Scarlets got that pen I don't know, the 'back 5' weren't going around at all, Fillisse and Dacey got the nudge and turned the Scarlets, blues locks actually drove through not around anywhere... hazards of having a known weak scrum though eans it gets pinged for an easy out.
Have to say though, Daceys throws were ok, just mistimed jumps, ok one was a bit off, but the conficence the Blues must have in his lineout ability is staggering, in their own 22 they go 3/4's the way through the line???!!
I think Nige is being lenient on Scarlets a touch, Jones was smashed away from behind a ruck 3 metres out and ended up over the try line on his back, that was yellow card stuff, Not sure if Paulos pass was forward but Owens couldve seen yellow for that slap.
Scarlet getting bodies the wrong side of the Blues ruck constantly, but then the Blues are living offside, so all in all Nige is prob having a decent game.
Gavin Evans is useless, can't pass off either hand and rushes beyond an international 13?!?!?!
Blues get panic'd way too easily, and it doesn't help having someone from Rhwbina's U14's on their wing!!!

Oh and what are the back 3 options looking like for the Scarlets next year, North and |Fenby are going to be huge misses!!!
Williams is going to be a big loss to Welsh rugby, he's really starting to look good recently, and the style of Scarlets play suits him, keep ball keep ball play the corner.
