Bath vs Tigers: Match Thread
This is a brill open game so far, B. Youngs has just scored a 70m try. Intense but always on the right side of the law - How the game should be played.
If you can turn this game on now!
25 minutes gone and already 4 tries.

Dont like the way the Tigers are playing far too loose, and worryingly losing the front 5 battle.

I did wonder if we'd find it tough up front with no enforcer and Waldrom at 8, means we are lacking a touch of the physical. Slater and Crane off the bench should sort things out in the second half.
I'm recording this as I'm in London this weekend. Had a feeling I might be missing a cracker.

What a cracking game of rugby & some great trys by both teams. Difficult to pick a winner at half time.

Good game on a sunny day!
Nice to see the forwards putting in a shift, Wilson raised his game as did others.
So just need to do the same to sarries next week...

Re: Bath vs Tigers: Match Thread
Should we tigers be worried by this result? Slightly concerned with the front 5 and how we dealt with Bath's defensive press, Flood still needs to learn to take a step back sometimes. Or is it a case of good performance, but just got pipped by a side desperate for a victory, dust ourselves down and move on?

Mulipola struggled - we will continue to miss Ayerza for the next few games. Other than that we played pretty well (excepting of course Hawkins attempt to tackle Louw). We have played much worse than that and won easily.

I kind of thought the same thing, but there was a lot of faffing around at that ruck with no one protecting the ball.

Literally gob smacked, 4 try bonus point win, never thought we stood a chance especially given the players missing. Well done bath.

Re: Bath vs Tigers: Match Thread
Impressed by Devoto and Williams had a good game keeping tabs on Tuilagi. I hope we can keep hold of Heathcote as he has such a wise head on young shoulders in the way he plays.
The whole pack plus subs all played well for the whole game and actually got better as the second half went on and the tigers seemed to visibly wilt in that last quarter.
Good to get another home win but we must sort out the away games as the L Welsh and Sale games that we should have won have had a big impact on our league position.

I think the biggest improvement bath can make is getting rid of Donald, next season i think bath could push for a top four.

Are you offended? Not sure why, that we played well yet lost is real credit to how well Bath did.

I'm not overly concerned myself. Bath played really well, and it was always going to be tough when they have everything to play for and we have a home semi all but in the bag.

To be fair he did exactly the same for Tigers a number of times through out the game, Wiggs was very lenient at the breakdown and let both teams contest well.
Congrats Bath, an epic win and Louw played a stormer after all the hype

Re: Bath vs Tigers: Match Thread
I thought Wilson was the cornerstone for Bath. He completely dominated Mulipola.
Hopefully we can bounce back from this and secure a home semi against the Winners of Quins/Saints. I am guessing that match will be on TV so will follow updates on my phone from WR.
Of course Bath could still turn-over Sarries I guess.

My issue with that instance is that he communicated one thing, but acted in a different way. But as I said before, bath fully deserved there win.

No, LT, I'm not offended, I just read it a little differently. I read it as "Tigers played well enough to win the game." Fair dues though, that was my mistake.

Yea Wilson wad quality, I've never seen him so fired up and confrontational but its great! And a welcome relief from Coles overly quiet character.

He did exactly the same for Salvi, going as far as to slap him on the back to get him to leave the ball.

think we may be talking about different instances. Bath were told to leave it, then carried on and also played the scrum half.
