Ireland's lack of scrumhalves? Empty Ireland's lack of scrumhalves?

Post by Big Mac Michael Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:40 pm

I for one, have been at witness, to some tom foolery,on the topic of scrumhalves in Ireland. My fellow pedestrians on their way to work,to college or even out for an afternoon snack, talking about the economy, the weather and the poor standard of scrumhalves in Ireland.I struggle to comprehend or even epitomize the incoherent evidence to this bewildering "issue ".Yeah, I can see where all the lads are coming from but sure come 'ere to me and I'll tell you the likes of JOHN COONEY AND LUKE MCGRATH, are absolutely supreme young talents. You mark my words , if given the chance, both of them will be on the Lions 2017, and I expect Murray will be soon overthrown.
Hierarchy of Scrumhalves in Ireland in my opinion is as follows:
1.John Cooney
2.Conor Murray
3.Luke McGrath
4.Boss
5.Marshall
6.Redser
7.Tomas O'WHO
8.Jeremy Kyle

Heaney at Ulster and Marmion at Connacht should be in there too. Both look like they could become very good players.

Stringer is still class imo. Does what you want a 9 to do. He is always at the breakdown early and whips the ball away to whoever is first receiver.

A 'basics' 9 for sure, but that's what I like to see. He's been in great form for Bath.
