Carlos Nieto to retire Empty Carlos Nieto to retire

The 37 year old veteran is hanging up his boots at the end of the season.

Nieto retires

He was part of what has been a fearsome Italian front row and I am sure everyone wishes Nieto a happy retirement.

Nieto sums up what a prop should be. A fearsome scrummager who you don't want to pass the ball to in the loose! Joking aside, his scrummaging has always been excellent and Glaws were certainly a weaker side when we lost him. He was known for butchering the occasional overlap, but I'd take the scrummaging over that every day of the week. I met him once and he was a thoroughly likeable chap and he well and truly deserves a long and enjoyable retirement.

Has done a very good job over the years, seems to have excellent technique and likes to get stuck in. Sarries will certainly be weaker without hos scrummaging ability to call on as Stevens isn't great in that department.
