Lamont Peterson v Lucas M
Who wins and why?
For me it will be LP. The effects of the juice has been terrific. He has addeded strength and durability to his game and I reckon he will oiut hustle LM.
Hoping Lucas does a serious number on him though. But LP will expose the hype.

Re: Lamont Peterson v Lucas M
I'm backing Matthysse. Peterson has been vulnerable to early knockdowns for a while, and against Holt he kept out of the way early on, before doing his pressure work. Very smart performence.
However Mathysse A) is better at closing down the ring, and going on the backfoot early could lead to a cat and mouse fight and B) has the sort of power that can put you down in any round. Holt can put you down in the first few, then he runs out.
Peterson hasn't shown big power at any stage. Holt has never been durable and Khan certainly isn't, but he has enough power to gain the respect of ordinary fighters. He buzzed Ortiz, but Victor isn't made of stone either. Mathysse, so far, has looked very tough and his guard is solid. I can't see Peterson causing much harm.
If Peterson does it off the back foot I give him more of a chance, but still think Mathysse stops him. Should be seriously exciting either way.

Sorry, this is a Mathysse fight so he's either going to eat Peterson for breakfast or be exposed as a chinless, slow, powerless, stupid idiot. There is no middle ground!

Like pretty much everyone I want Matthysse to smash him, he is seriously slow with his hands though which is his biggest weakness so if Peterson can keep it at range he should be able to get a lead on the cards. I fancy Matthysse will catch up to him late though and either close the show or do enough damage to win it on the cards if he isn't robbed again.... big if.

I reckon Juice is the better all round fighter. The added effect of his junkie approach means he can stand and trade with greater effect.
He is the faster guy with good speed. LP via clear UD. I can even see a late stoppage. Much depends also on what weight LM comes in at.

Have to support the American........But think he's overrated.....Khan made him look ordinary and Bradley too..........
Matthyse punches good and Petersen is there to be hit...........
Matthyse inside the distance.

I am generally bias towards Argentina as I love the country.
The juicing just tops it off and I can't believe the guy still carries a title and effectively got a promotion with the GBP deal...
Yeah agree with that Truss, from what I've seen of LP, which I confess isn't a great deal, he doesn't have a tight defence and you would worry about fighting Lucas if he can hit you.
That being said, LP does seem a decent mover so I'd expect him to be on the back foot and have more chance of pinching a decision.

Hope so. But I fear not. I can imagine LP winning and Floyd giving him the opportunity of a lifetime. Juice does pay it seems (if that happens).

Subtle Az, very subtle.
Lucas batters him for what it's worth.

Re: Lamont Peterson v Lucas M
Are people too lazy to spell their names properly or is this a new trend??
I heard WK was going to fight TY because JP didn't get past BN.
On the other hand Amir K is in talks with DG about BCC and TR.

It's because he has no idea how to spell it. Neither do I actually.

I just couldn't be bothered to spell it. Especially when using the phone.

Moron
So as well as not watching fights, you now have stopped spelling fighters names.
Have you still got PW in the top 5??

Matthysse blows hot and cold, but if he comes out firing then I can see trouble for Peterson who can start a bit slowly.
