The beginning of the end?
As this week's episode of Conflict went off air there were far more questions than answers for everyone, fans, superstars and EWF personnel alike.
The arrival of Mr Riley, a chief member of the EWF Board of Directors, at the Elite Coliseum on Thursday night certainly got people talking and it wasn't long until rumors began to circulate.
The ongoing war between EWF and FEAR has led to a serious level of mistrust and deception in the ranks at the Coliseum, so much so that it is believed that staff and roster members have a very strained relationship, nobody knows just who they can turn to in these moments of crisis. Members of Team EWF are also in a dilemma as the finger of doubt now points in the direction of the world champion, Vincent Costello....does he have a hidden agenda?
It would seem that FEAR have planted seeds of doubt in every available area and the EWF Board of Directors are at a complete loss on how to deal with the situation. Attacks to COO, Daniel Magnusson and Head of Talent Relations, Oliver Baker have shown that FEAR are not afraid to exercise their wrath in the direction of authority and there is an internal concern of just what might happen next if the demands of these "terrorists" are not met.
Early word coming out of the HyperEx grapevine right now are that the Board of Directors have called a crisis meeting for early next week with a view to making a "major announcement" at the Scars and Stripes pay per view on Sunday May 26th.
Details are sketchy right now but words such as "closure" and "withdrawal" have been banded around. It would seem that the powers that be are in panic mode right now and the very future of EWF hangs in the balance.
With so much to play for it will be interesting how heavily this pressure now weighs on the shoulders of the men who have vowed to fight for the safety of this company. Will Jimmy Phillips, Mike Conrad, Liam Wood et al be able to steady this sinking ship? Or will FEAR and their continuing rise and growing numbers land one last fateful blow that puts this promotion deep in the ground, never to be seen again?
Nothing is concrete right now, but it would seem that the Scars and Stripes pay per view won't only be a huge night for the superstars involved, but also a piviotal moment for the wrestling industry in general. What will the Board of Directors decide?
Is there really no way to stop FEAR?
