The 606 RB Power Rankings
First topic message reminder :
Rather than everyone voting for who they consider #1, then #2 etc, I'll do 1 RB vs another until a consensus is reached, then move onto further votes.
(i.e AP is voted #1 over C.J. C.J then faces Steven Jackson for the #2 spot. If Jackson wins then he faces AP for the 1st spot while C.J challenges the 3rd spot.)
1st up, Adrian Peterson vs Chris Johnson

Graeme Swann's Cat: I hope you don't mind but I put a link to this thread on 606 hoping it might help bring a few extra people over.

CJ and Turner, both easy picks, suprised McCoy mentioned this early, he will fall unless we have lots of eagles fans

McCoys underrated, and had the most yards from scrimmage in the NFC. Tbh I don't rate Turner anywhere near this high. For me hes mostly a workhorse back with limited use in the passing game. The beauty of this system is I could do Brandon Jackson and Laurence Maroney 1st up and it wouldnt matter.

It doesn't really matter where he first gets brought into the voting if he loses all the votes he can end up bottom.AdZacO wrote:CJ and Turner, both easy picks, suprised McCoy mentioned this early, he will fall unless we have lots of eagles fans

He did, but was one of only 3 feature backs in NFC, just beat one, and Gore was on track to easily beat him before injury.

How does it slow it down? Also lets be honest we've got plenty of time to get these rankings done.AdZacO wrote:Yes it slows down how long it takes.Derbyblue wrote:It doesn't really matter where he first gets brought into the voting if he loses all the votes he can end up bottom.AdZacO wrote:CJ and Turner, both easy picks, suprised McCoy mentioned this early, he will fall unless we have lots of eagles fans

If you start with the best (who knows maybe i under estimte McCoy) then they will settle to their position quicker, meaning you get a new RB out straight away. Where if McCoy drops he will remain on the board, while you one by one take out guys til they are better than him, and find out how much higher than him they are.

Re: The 606 RB Power Rankings
But the turn around ould be quicker, if you some ho managed to get them in the order that we al agreed with (but every1 places people differently)
But like you said doesnt matter, not as if we are hurried for time.

Re: The 606 RB Power Rankings
McCoy is good but has less pressure to perform because of the quality of DeSean and Vick. Charles performed very well in a so called "lesser team" that doesn't have the same calibur of weapons.
Charles for me
Charles for me
Re: The 606 RB Power Rankings
Jamaal Charles, averaging 6.4 yards a carry for a whole season says it all to me

6 wins in a row.
Didn't McCoy seal the 5th with a 40 yard TD?

Re: The 606 RB Power Rankings
No he didn't, it was all an elaborate dream that everyone had at the same time.
Those 6 wins in a row haven't done much for you though, one division title and nothing else in 3 years.
