Re: Boxing Documentaries
There are some great links, thanks. Legendary Nights was a great series, if a little US bias and When We Were Kings is just one of the best films I've ever seen. The Liston and Robinson docs I'll vouch for too.
I saw a trailer for one that I haven't been able to find the actual full film for...

Fabulous idea, Scott.
Bit busy over the weekend, but starting Monday I'd like to add these to our youtube channel if that's okay with you.
In the meantime, I'll try to dig out the Louis / Schmeling one and also ' Unforgivable Blackness ' which I have on DVD and find excellent.

Not sure if it's the one you reference, but found a Louis/Schmeling one. Can't find that Jack Johnson one.

The Johnson one is pretty long, Scott, so it might not be out there at youtube. Glad you found a Louis / Schmeling one, though.
Will sort them out on Monday. Hopefully we'll have a few more by then.

Anybody seen that documentary about a lad who came with nothing to England as a teenager and then became the toast of the town with his Industrial psychology and Boxing knowledge...

Must admit I wasn't overly impressed by it. Wahlberg is a bit wooden and Bale is just painful to watch. A few inaccuracies too. Made Mickey Ward seem a bit dull.

Easily accomplished.
Just buy boxed career sets of most of today's American heavies.

Just watched the Holyfield - Bowe legendary nights, was really really good. Britain never makes anything as dramatic as that =/ Typical dramatic Americans able to do that kind of thing.

Scott
Cheers for arranging the above list. Some fantastic and compelling documentaries. Spent too much time already watching these much to the annoyance of my girlfriend.
I really want to see Ring of Fire but the link seems to be broken. Can you upload another mate?
Much appreciated

Watched after the last round the other night. Excellent documentary a bit anti boxing at times but it almost brought a tear to my eye. I would recommend it to anyone whether they were a boxing fan or not.

Re: Boxing Documentaries
Scott, the UK amateur one is actually about an Irish club in Dublin. The person who uploaded it has named it UK amateur boxing for some strange reason, but changing the title on this thread would probably be best.

Where did you see it? I tried looking for it on youtube but could only find an infuriatingly intriguing trailer.

Good spot Alex.
Now this topic been bumped up the thread list i've had a look through as I wasn't aware of it before. You should set up a 606v2 library with all the best vids and articles out there - there's been lots of interesting stuff posted around the site.
I also read a comment about a youtube channel, what's it called as nothing comes up for 606v2? Cheers
