Injured Or Playing Possum?
First topic message reminder :
What was up with Novak in the third set of the RG semi? Was it his back, his shoulder or something else? At one point he rushed off court at change of ends telling the umpire he was going rather than asking. His body language between points was like a dying swan. The commentators thought he might retire. Strangely haven't seen much discussion about this after the match it's as if it didn't happen... So what was up with him? Was he injured or was it some sort of tactic or was he just resigned to losing?

Yes that is fine. But it is the kind of opinion that if someone expressed something similar about Nadal, you would be calling them a "hater".

Oh here we go again... lets turn this thread back into bringing in Nadal to support your argument.
PLEASE NOTE THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD .. it is a thread that is asking a question an opinion about Djokovic NOT NADAL.
And for your information I have never ever seen Rafa give up on a game let alone a set in his life he plays every game like it is his last .. never ever have I seen him or Federer do what Djoko did yesterday. Now leave it at that Summer this thread asked an opinion and I gave it... you are incidiously twisting it to suit your own ends.. Ive given my opinion and I do not intend to defend myself against you or such an accusation. So you will have to accept that as my answer albeit it may well stick in your throat.

What am I twisting? I just commented on what I see as a double standard from you (a rather blatant at that). I am not saying your double standard applies to this thread, but across threads. Say someone starts a thread with a similar type of accusation against Nadal, you will invariably view them as "haters".
But happy to agree to disagree, if that is your preference.

The flaw in the tanking theory is that Novak was 5-0 down.
He then won a game.
Why prolong the set if he has given up on it?

Why on earth would he tank possibly the biggest set in his clay court career?

To serve first in the next set?

I thought to win the obligatory game to avoid a bagel.
