There were not a lot of good things for me. I tried my best all the time I had my chances but I did not make it. It is difficult to adapt your game on grass. Now is not the right time to talk about my knee. The only thing I can do is congratulate my opponent. It is not a tragedy, I lost, it is sport."
"I'm confident that I will recover and be ready for the next tournaments. I have played far more than I expected after my injury and I will try my best for the next couple of years."

Nope, let's not mention the knee, even though I just did!  Bye Nadal HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa!

It's a forum.  Deal with it.  And stop making excuses if you dont want criticism.

If you could tell us where Rafa made "excuses" it would be a big help

True we should all bemoan Darcis victory because he beat the sports holiest flag bearer. This would certainly not happen if Federer lost you know

Don't really know a lot about tennis but since Julius is not around is there any chance we can all play nice. Don't particularly want to go locking deleting or merging threads that even someone with my limited tennis knowledge knows are of little merit. (no offence)

I suggested in the OP that Nadal must be injured to lose in this match, I did not know speculation on injuries warranted a thread lock.

Hopefully no one was injured but the surface is very slippery

If Nadal fans and others actually gave credit, maybe they'd get some respect back, but already the "knee" is out in full force.

Dear god, may spend some more time on this board. Suspect a week on here would make me get all dewy eyed about the lot on boxing.

Strange seeing you over here rather than on the boxing board, rowley! Thank you for the effort, though. It should calm down a bit once the dust has settled on the results today.

If homogenised tries to make even this interview into Nadal being a dick, then I guess we can take it as confirmation that he is in fact Alistair Campbell

The only reason I'm happy Nadal got knocked out was because I put some money on Darcis halfway through the match. So at the end of the match I had a bizarre mixture of happiness and sadness at what had just happened.

Happiness of personal wealth, sadness that I think the game will be poorer with out Nadal.

Well Rowley its a fun day with one of the biggest superstar being upset, rise of underdogs always merit celebration, as long as the celebration is civil why take tensions, if not for these fun days the forum would be real boring.thumbsup

Inspite of difference in opinions the people in tennis forum all gel well and we are one great team, so I am not sure things go out of hand in an holy manner.zen
