Lendl celebration
I just saw his reaction as the last ball hit the net.
He slightly smiled and clapped, while sitting down.
What a Man!!

Well we all know how much he played his part from behind the scenes for this moment, he turned a slam less panicker to a Multi-time Grand slam Champion.

Yes, I noticed. But in fairness, he's seen it all before - no-one else on these shores have

Nah, it's just him being cool. As John McEnroe said on ESPN commentary "that's him going crazy!".

I know - don't think I've ever seen Lendl so animated!
Lovely that he sort of gets his hands on a small corner of the Wimbledon trophy at last!

Lendl has been great for Andy. Also his totally laid back attitude is probably a calming influence on Andy.

I do not know if I would call it laid back. The guy is pretty intense; he just does not wear his heart on his sleeve.CaledonianCraig wrote:Lendl has been great for Andy. Also his totally laid back attitude is probably a calming influence on Andy.

I mean laid back in the box I mean. Compared to others he is very passive.

Re: Lendl celebration
Lendl was chuffed to bits. The fact he was a fidgetarse in the box highlighted how much he was in the match.
He certainly has a golden touch!

I think they get on so well together as they have so much in common.
Lendl had a losing streak in his first few slams as did Murray.
Lendl turned it around as has Murray.
Lendl was not a crowd favourite but won people around and Murray seems to be doin the same.
Both share a great dry sense of humour.

That's the reason Murray hired him. He said at the time that he could get to the sharp end of slams but needed someone in his team with the experience of being there and getting over the line. That's what Lendl has done. So well done to both of them Murray for recognising what was missing and Lendl for delivering on what was asked of him.
