Interested to know what other boxing fans think of the job that Kugan is doing?

Think he does a great job myself. Get's interviews with the big names and also asks questions the fans want to know, and the immediate reactions he gets after weigh in's and press conferences are also good, and I find his interviews with Eddie Hearn quite entertaining. The stuff he does doesn't always get shown on somewhere like Sky Sports, and I actually find myself looking forward to fights even more simply because of watching stuff that Kugan has filmed.

Just interested to know what others thought of him.

ifilm london seem to get great stuff, its good as its well done and well filmed but you also see a more laid back natural side of people.. mainstream is too stiff most of the time, I actually like the way boxing has an underground element..

Seems like a thoroughly likeable bloke from what I've seen/heard of him. He came across well on a recent Ringside program.

He's also game for a laugh and doesn't mind the ribbing that he gets, especially from Adam Booth.

The ifilm interviews are more often than not entertaining. Good luck to him.

Think ifilm and kugan are doing great stuff, the interviews have now become one of the first things i look for on twitter/youtube around fight time.

He seems to get on really well with most boxers/promoters and as well as being very informative the interviews can be quite funny.

He did a recent interview with Barry hearn which was removed quickly due to alleged court action from frank warren, having not seen the interview as it was pulled that quickly i don't know why but this has now resulted in either Ifilm boycotting or being banned from Frank warren shows/weigh ins/post fight etc T

This can only be a be thing for Frank warren fighters as not only are they confined to Boxnation they are not getting exposure through ifilm which is gaining quite a following from boxing fans.

Ifilm for me has made me more interested in some fighters who aren't quite high profile enough for mainstream and likely to follow them simply because i enjoyed their interviews and this is something i see Eddie hearn has acknowledged, he said something along the lines of its free exposure for his shows and helps raise the profile of fighters and sell tickets to the shows.

He always seems to have plenty of banter with the fighters and promoters. Really like watching Jane Couch's interviews too.

Really like Kugan, gets right down to the point and has a laugh with whoever he interviews

I liked one of his interviews with Hearn where he asked what's next for Brook and Hearn said that maybe Julio Diaz so Kugan grilled him as Hearn had slated khan because of choosing Diaz which was amusing

Did one with fury and both a couple weeks back which was a laugh

Big fan, too. Love that we can just go to youtube and get all the pre and post-fight stuff from ifilm. I always go there after any big domestic dust up. Great banter with Eddie Hearn. Very likeable guy

nice interviews and always does good stuff but just once i'd like them to employ someone who knows how to operate a camera.

their stuff is always out of focus and badly framed.

Kugan seems to be everywhere, up and down the country. Has made a name for himself fairly quickly.

I've heard rumours Hearn has invested in iFilm and also believe it or not I heard the idea for it came from Booth.

I had to laugh when Booth said Kugan had not earned the right to interview him. Once a plonker........

Yeh, like Kugan and iFilm, very funny guy, his interviews with Adam Booth are hilarious.

The US has reeeeporting with Ellie Seckbach but he always seems to ask less invasive questions and sucks up a little too much to the fighters for my liking. No real banter - but maybe that's just a cultural difference.

I like Kugan's interviews but the other guy James something is a bit dull. When he interviews people and they try to lighten the mood with a humorous response he just stares at them like a paedo staring into a nursery and doesnt get the banter going back and forward like Kugan.

The Eddie Hearn interviews are starting to become a bit predictable, they were funny to begin with but now its like they are trying to be some sort of double act. But its Kugan always brings the best out of the fighters when he interviews them.

His interviews with Jonny Nelson are brilliant. I never knew Jonny was that funny and always look forward to new ones featuring him.

Got a lot of time for Kugan and iFilm London.

Quite curious how they make money though...
They joke about the promoters paying them and I don't think they are but wonder how the company generates cash when they give away their content on YouTube.

I think they make their money from YouTube video advertising. Not sure how profitable that is, mind you, but I think that's it

Eddie Heane probably owns iFilm London on the sly as a way to project his fighters and company through social media

I wondered about YouTube revenue so took a look at some details.

Their videos get on average a couple of thousand views and occasionally one will get 20,000 or so.

From what I can find...

That's going to earn them very little indeed!
YouTube ad revenue is all linked to content, their content has limited appeal and so a limited advertising hook...

Would love to know though as they seem to have a pretty sweet deal going on!

There's varying sources for how much can be made.
It does depend on the type of content as I said but this:

Specifically, the rates for the most lucrative, “pre-roll” video ads that appear right before the featured video dropped from an average of $9.35 per 1,000 views in June of 2012 to $6.33 in March of this year, according to David Burch, TubeMogul’s research director.

From here:

http://mobile.businessweek.com/articles/2013-04-22/its-getting-harder-to-make-money-on-youtube

Suggests that it's unlikely YouTube ads will be financing 2 guys salaries!

Well, that is dire. God knows how they survive then. Maybe they have otehr jobs. I know Hearn and other promoters often pay their traveland accomodation. And it wont cost them anything to operate, but to make money, hmmmm. Can they re-sell their content? I know nothig about this.

I'm not sure they resell their videos...
Never seen them on box nation or sky and they're available free!

One thing Adam Booth said the other day might be telling...
