Favourite Match Promo.

Simple question, what is your favourite pre match pump up vignette?

I've got a couple that I cant choose between.

First: Austin vs Rock 3, Mania 19. Great showing of the rivalry, and they edited and used the song brilliantly.

Second: Kevin Nash vs Triple H, Badd Blood 03. Brillaint music, brilliant showing by Foley, edited brilliantly again. The only downside is it seemed more about HHH vs Foley than Nash, but a personal favourite of mine none the less. "Im gonna take and ass kicking, but Im gonna take it, right here!"

Third: John Cena vs JBL, Judgement Day 05. Both mean, argueably at their peak. At a time when everyone loved John Cena, and JBL was the hottest heel for years. This match shows what John Cena is capable of when not restrained. And to this day, this remains one of my personal favourite matches.

Liked the Armageddon 2000 promo too for the HIAC match

rock austin was magic the way they sold it. they could sell sand to the arabs.

Undertaker/Shawn Michael's, Wrestlemania 26, Music set's the tone.

Not a match promo, but it needs an honorary mention.
Austin in ECW after being fired from WCW.
Total improvisation all the way through. My favourite ever and an all time classic.

As some off you may be aware I have posted a few times on how highly I rate the production team in WWE. Behind all the negativity of the writers & Vince I dont think they get enough credit for what they do.

I think huge kudos need to go to them for the job they do, especially in the last couple of years where I have found their work to sometimes be the only thing that gets me hooked (even when I know the matches themselves are going to be predictable or rubbish). Some of the best work in recent times has to be alot of the build up vignettes in the weeks leading too and the night of Wrestlemania...(Miz v Cena good example).

I have many favourites which have already been mentioned tbh so I wont rename.

However if anyone needs to see just how good they can be at their job and at selling us a storyline you needed only see the smackdown rebound on Raw this week. I had goosebumps and felt hugely sorry for Christian just watching that video..& imo even those who dont follow wrestling would have watched it and been sucked in!

Using Auto tune on a video package is just wrong

Orton vs dusty rhodes at the great american bash, was a good promo I enjoyed, good music to it aswell.

Lesnar vs eddie no way out, was another I liked, kinda summed up the direction both work going in.

My personal fave is hhh vs batista for wrestlemania 21, just because it dawned a new era in wwe that ppv.

One more is edge vs the undertaker wrestlemania 24 promo. Underated and pretty epic.
