New name on the Everton rumour mill is Jordan Rhodes.

Someone in the Prem who is desperate for a goalscorer should take a gamble on him - 74 goals in his last 100 games

BBC say Fernando is having a work permit hearing. Imagine going from Fellaini - Gibson - Osman to Barkley - Fernando - McCarthy...great stuff.

I think it is instead of as well. Wigan appear to priced McCarthy out of our reach.

Jordan Rhodes would cost a ridiculous amount of money considering Blackburn signed him for 8 million

Why don't clubs have ambition any more?

- Fellaini = £24m
- Fernando = £10m

What shall we do with the remaining £14m? Save it for no reason, or improve our team? Madness.

No. Fernando is supposed to be £15m and we appear to be using the £9m to sign a defender.

I read £10m, and if it's Astori, £9m surely won't cover it?

So £15m for Fernando, c. £4.5m for Indi, c. £10m for Astori, does this mean someone else is leaving?

Hopefully Heitinga, although I suspect it will be one or other of Indi and Astori.

Not sure how much I believe the Astori one either. I think it is that we have money to spend from Fellaini, so people are making things up

Seems to me like we're quite happy with what we've got having missed out on Toivonen/Quagliarella, probably means we have some cash to spend in January as well if things aren't going well or it something pops up then

You should also consider signing on fees, agents fees, wages etc. That £14m you speak of, part of that could be used to pay a 4/5 year contract.
As Ive said, Ravel Morrison sold for 800k but his agent got a £1m fee from West Ham, well apparently. But the point in trying to make is you should take that into consideration.

Albion looking to sign either Cesar on loan or Camp on a 1 year deal. I'd rather have Cesar and pay his £60k a week wages.

Looking at paying £4m-£5m for Sessegnon - okay.

And a striker on loan - Anichebe (no thanks), Ba (turned us down), Quagliarella (yes please), Andre Ayew (want a loan fee) or Gignac (want a perm deal). Not sure we'll be getting a striker.

Okay, so Fernando and his agent might get £1.5m to sign. Still £12.5m to play with.

I'd very much doubt we'll sell Snodgrass, not only cos he is one of our best players, but also because Elliott Bennett is potentially out for the season, so would leave us with only 2 wingers

Just what I heard. Something about problems with his missus? And the chance to join Celtic to big a chance to refuse.

Probably just rubbish tbh

As I said, Everton may want to use some of that, maybe remaining, £12.5m against his wages. Club dont just sell a player & the spend all the money. They may like to save up. Look at Wenger, hes been saving up for 8 years for Ozil Smile

His missus had a car crash up in Glasgow at the start of the month, which was a problem because she is pregnant. He had to miss a bunch of time in pre-season cos of it.

He's a big Celtic fan, and I think he has family that live up there, but I'd very much doubt Celtic would pay the fee we would demand for him, even if he did want to go

Two things I hate about people who moan about the money spent on transfer deadline day:

1) It's not Gareth Bale's fault that you never made it as a top-level sportsperson. Stop whining about his wages.

2) Those who moan about the money spent on footballers should have a look at the money chucked about in American sports, especially basketball. It's far, far worse.

The seeming Sessegnon to WBA is a strange one for me, seems to be a player here who has the talent, but never really seems to put it to good use.

Surely WBA could do with another winger?

Bit of a difference going to San Siro, Camp Nou and the Amsterdam Arena as well though.

It is hardly surprising if a Scottish player, who supports Celtic, wants to join Celtic and play in the CL. The more and more I think of it, I can see legs in it, especially if he has been bending Hooper's ear about the club
