Boxing Poster/print
Ive just moved house recently and have a huge gap on my living room wall where i want a classic boxing poster/print.
i have just been having a look online but cant find much other than Ali towering over Liston.
Can anyone recomend or send me a link of a great boxing image worthy of hanging proud on my main room wall!?
cheers guys!

Re: Boxing Poster/print
I have the aforementioned Ali/Liston one on my bedroom wall in canvas, a cracking photo. Can't think of any others off the top of my head though I'm afraid mate, though I'm sure there must be a Tyson Fury self-uppercut shot somewhere, or even a Monte Barrett ring entrance canvas...
Re: Boxing Poster/print
If you want a more artistic one there is a famous painting of the Dempsey Firpo fight in the Whitney Gallery in New York and I know they sell prints as I tried to buy one when I was over there but it was too big to get home. Am sure they would ship overseas.

Re: Boxing Poster/print
It is a great photo, but it's one i see far too often and am sure their are some other great ones out there. A tyson Fury self uppercut would be a hillarious picture to have hanging in your front room! forever reminding you the 1st rule of boxing. proctect yourself at all times!

Sorry, yeah should have said that you might want to make sure nobody is watching. Unless you are openly gay of course, in which case it wouldn't really matter.

Double D,
Somewhere here there is a thread devoted to great boxing pictures, with links. Might be worth your while taking ten minutes to find it. There's some fantastic stuff there, and a graphics shop could probably losslessly blow any of the pictures up to the size you need.

Re: Boxing Poster/print
Why not plump for the "Raging Bull" movie poster with the huge close up of DeNiro's face?
I have it rolled up in a tube somewhere along with a load of others at home as my wife decided vases and ornaments were to be the order of the day

Have a look at Richard T Slone's artwork. He's the guy who's done countless promo and Ring magazine cover pieces, very colourful, very good. Not sure prices, but worth a look. Think he's like thy official hall of fame artist or something.

Not sure if this is the sort of thing that you're looking for but this site sells old Muhammed Ali fight posters.
My Dad has this one.

Re: Boxing Poster/print
Cheers guys for all the ideas,
ive had a look at some of the old school posters and i do quite like them and also the one rowley mentioned earlier with Dempsey going through the ropes against Firpo. I did manage to find a good site with loads of old boxing posters so i might get a few of them, quite cheap too!

Bloke's a bit dead good. British too, I think, which surprised me seeing as he's very popular with boxers internationally.

They're awesome, do you know how much the prints cost?
I've emailed him but would be handy if you knew...

Start at just under $20 by the look of it. Dunno what p&p is like though. Limited editions go up over $100. Still not too bad really.
