Balance now tipped in Fury's favor Empty Balance now tipped in Fury's favor

Future heavieweight champ Tyson Fury will fight in front of his father for the first time in years when he meets ex WBA champ David Haye. This seems to me a masterstroke from the Fury camp. Fury snr will be on day release to watch his son take on the Haymaker. I can;t see Fury lose now. Who wants to lose in front of their old man who might quite possibly be handcuffed for the duration of the fight.

This fight now has a bit of a Rockyesque feel to it, like it was destiny, a fulfillment of a prophetic fate that stands between Fury and the heavyweight title. How will things transpire? will our hero Fury battered and bruised pegged to the corner as the beast of 2 halves wales away at his hapless foe, as the thousands of dreams of the wandering tribe look certain to fall and shatter into thousands of nightmares....when all but a sudden, from the crowded mist, a voice calls out, echoing the thousands of dreams that lay dying on the canvas floor......

YOU CAN DO IT SON.....

you can do it!

Watched on Ringside that Fury has brought Cunningham into his camp (training not living) and seems to be actually serious for this one.

He also came across well in the interview, didn't feel like he was trying to clown to sell the fight.

A very shallow judgemental part of me wants to dislike Fury but there is something there that makes me like him, almost to spite myself.

father or no father, fury could be hitting the canvas early on, possibly a few times.

i'm split on this one, in a way i really want him to win.

Pahahaha 'future heaveyweight champion' - at least you've left yourself a get out of jail free card by not saying 'world'.

Thing your analysis is way off though. Fury needs a Peter Fury encouraged reserved performance if he is to stand any chance. If he puts in a rocky-esque Papa Fury inspired performance he'll get flattened within a round or two.

"I can;t see Fury lose now. Who wants to lose in front of their old man who might quite possibly be handcuffed for the duration of the fight."

It's not entirely up to him though, is it? I have no doubt Fury will attempt to get up if he's able (he's showed he has heart), but whether or not he's removed from his senses is not his decision.

"As my dad's here, I think I'll bypass the option of unconsciousness for this one…"

That got a LOL here.

Haye wins by EKO. Round 4 I reckon.

8/1 with betfred King.

Round 1 12/1
Round 2 10/1
Round 3 10/1
Round 4 8/1

Betting stops there because even betfred realise its not going further.

Be interested to see what they're offering on it going the distance in that case...

Also, if BetFred thought it was such a surety it wouldn't go any longer then the odds would be much shorter.

True. Although i was being a tad sarcastic.

Think points were pretty decent odds but don't quote me on that.

Haye on points. haye wont take too many risks, he never has...tysons chin is not half as bad as made out, its more his poor balance and defence that his put him on the floor, but hes gotten back up clear headed.

Not half as bad as made out??!!

Re-watched the Cunnigham fight the other night and it's not half as 'excusable' as made out. He was dumped on his ass by a feather-fisted cruiserweight!!

And the other guy that dropped him had now't to do with 'balance' either and was also a v v light puncher.

Also, you can't use his 'defence' as an excuse as, erm, that just means anyone else he fights can find the same glarring holes!!
