Bad/Dishonest Judging is a reflection of the times !!

Why did Beltran lose the fight on Saturday night...Because no one gives a toss....we all just move on!!.......Society these days has changed from Society thirty years ago........Politics has changed........We had The Reagan years ...you had the Thatcher years when Integrity was replaced with "Whats-in-it-for -me"...........

Since I've been in your Country Blair nearly got the 90 days detention law through.....I mean that's internment and it's wrong in any language and 280 socialists voted for it!!! Crazy I know but they were more interested in gaining favor than somebody's rights !!!!

Watched the Chelsea v Aston Villa the other week.........Referee saw the elbow but gave a yellow card...saw the handball but chose to ignore it!! Why because bigger clubs have a bigger say and he was currying favor........Wasn't incompetent just a sad cretin who lacked balls and wanted to further his career.....who cares what the Villa manager thinks..!!..But people listen to MOURINHO..

People do lack balls these days because those with integrity are scared to speak out because no one gives a toss......

In Boxing Chisora is more liked than Darren Barker........He spits, assaults women amongst other things but he is a character so that's okay......

The Major who committed fraud on the millionnaire show...made lots of money from celebrity this and that..........

Years ago people jumped in front of buses for the betterment of Society....people gave their lives for important issues.........But those times are over and not for the better.......

It's why Beltran in a way lost on Saturday night...because we are used to things being wrong and just shrugging the shoulders why should judges have integrity when no one cares...........

Most Judges are in it for themselves and we've let them get away with it...........It's our fault not theirs........

Integrity is a thing of the past I'm afraid.......and Judging is a casualty in all sports..

Its a crying shame really the hard working honest professionals are made a mockery of for some high roller with cash and public demand for a "character".

Judges should score the fight then publish their cards on a boxing site so everyone can see how and why they scored.

Then there could be a panel of judges who sit and reflect on those said cards and then either agree or overturn the fight.

Hmmm. Not sure the internment law is, or was, any different to what has been going on in Guatanemo Bay for the last 10 years. I'm personally all for it. These guys weren't on a Club 18-30 tour of Afghanistan.

The one flaw in the argument Truss is it assumes there was ever a situation where things were ever better in the sport which is quite clearly not the case. As far back as Fitzsimmons Sharkey fights were judged/reffed with sheer incompetence or corruption depending on your perspective.

Think the problem now we as fans are so used to it we just accept it as par for the course when it should not be acceptable. Mentioned on another thread that we accept things that would cause absolute outrage in another sport. Remember when Hatton was in his WBU days Mickey Vann did nearly every fight of his. Could you imagine if Howard Webb reffed 13 of 15 Man Utd games at the start of a season, would simply not be allowed to happen.

The other major issue is the lack of accountability as the captain has mentioned several times. The judge who scored for Burns at the weekend is clearly either corrupt or incompetent and yet will not be called in to explain or justify his actions, he will probably be sat at ringside again this weekend.

However I am pleased you were as outraged about how Villa got shafted at Chelsea the other week as I was Truss. You’re clearly not all bad.

It is nothing new Truss...

Hearns was shafted by the judges in 89....

He didn't complain, very dignified, accepted it and moved on...

Perhaps if he'd kicked up a stink....

We'd be in a different situation today....

For every Beltran bad decision there is a match fixing arrest and conviction in sport like cricket, horse racing, and football. Athletes get caught taking PEDS and get banned, Lance Armstrong did not retire from cycling and did not get away with cheating so its not all bad TRUSS there are bodies out there fighting corruption in order to have a fair sport for the people.

What happened with Burns was bad but unless you spark your man out cold as the traveling fighter then you should expect the worse. Beltran will at least get the chance to fight Burns again so its another pay day. Happy days.

I have integrity I think and I make a lot of noise.........and I've also been passed over for promotion countless times .......Then again I spend most of my time on here so It's quid pro quo on that one !!!
