Check this out. Crawley Town's Mike Jones scoring from the halfway line last night in the JPT defeat at home to Newport. Great hit, especially considering how poor we were for the rest of the game!

England. That's it as far as I'm aware.
Great grandparents from both Ireland and Scotland, but too far back for me to be eligible.

England and Scotland. Although any country where residency applies to as I'm yet to feature for any International side competitively...

The residency rule that could apply to Januzaj I heard today could apply to other foreigners yet to be capped at senior International level. Including David De Gea!

Re: Euro Division LXVII
Did anyone read what Jack Wilshere said not the bit about only English players for England but this.
We have to remember what we are.
“We are English and we tackle hard and we are tough on the pitch and we are hard to beat. We have great characters.
“You think of Spain and you think technical football, but you think of England and you think they are brave and they tackle hard and we have to remember that.”
An you lot called him Scholes+ hahaha poor Wilshere still living in the stone ages.

Although the home nations have voluntarily opted out of the residency ruling.
So unless we renege on our agreement with Scotland, Ireland, Wales, which is really unlikely, Januzaj and De Gea will never be eligible for England

He's talking character traits and national identity. It doesn't mean he is going to play long ball football.VivaPaulScholes wrote:Did anyone read what Jack Wilshere said not the bit about only English players for England but this.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
Paul Scholes's own quotes:
and for balance, about Paul Scholes:
"When it's over I just want to be able to look in the mirror and say, 'Well, you were a half-decent player.' "
"When you are English, you play to your strengths. We are good at the physical side of the game, so that is what we should play to"
and for balance, about Paul Scholes:
"When we were in training , I used to do alot of tricks which hardly any players at the club could do.Once i was showing my skills to Scholes. After i finished it,Scholes took the ball and pointed to a tree which was about 50m from where we were standing. He said,I'm going to hit it in one shot.He kicked and hit the tree.He asked me to do the same,I kicked about 10 times, but still couldnt hit it,With that Accuracy. He smiled and left." - Ronaldo
“Good enough to play for Brazil. I love to watch Scholes, to see him pass, the boy with the red hair and the red shirt.” - Socrates
"Paul Scholes is a role model. For me – and I really mean this – he's the best central midfielder I've seen in the last 15, 20 years. I've spoken to Xabi Alonso about him. He's spectacular, he has it all: the last pass, goals, he's strong, he doesn't lose the ball, vision. If he'd been Spanish he might have been rated more highly. Players love him." - Xavi
“Just heard Paul Scholes has retired, best I’ve ever played against by a mile. Most technically gifted player in english history. Legend” - Joey Barton

Re: Euro Division LXVII
If I wasn't going to make the England team I wouldn't bother playing for another country who struggle to win a game in qualifiers. Much rather have a break in the internationals then play in the Asia gold cup qualifiers.
Re: Euro Division LXVII
What about if you got one free pass to play, and therefore live in, any country in the world. Where would you pick?

Haha have fun playing in the MLS Olly. I'd stick with England that way I play in the premier league.
Re: Euro Division LXVII
I'd rather live in the US but then that is only so I could watch all the sport. Do you know, they show every single Premier League match on TV out there?

I've been to plenty of countries, speak with lots of different nationalities around the world in my job.
I'll be honest.....
I'll stick with Britain every single time thanks.
The grass is not always greener and you always need to compare what you have with what you would get elsewhere instead.

Don't let the Welsh colour you, you have to select a single nation.

Re: Euro Division LXVII
Japan was really nice Hero. Really friendly people.
It would be horrendous to live in the USA imo. All the sport is far outweighed by the negatives for me. All the community services are a real bureaucratic nightmare to be able to use, a lot of the neighbourhoods I saw were really run down (in Florida, Virginia and Kentucky) and it is so vast that it takes hours to travel anywhere. Nice chicken though

I actually like both, but if I was forced to choose, Wales is more friendly and I don't have to pay for prescriptions nor tuition fees if my kids go to Uni

Congratulations, you are the mystery winner of the free pass! You will be staying with a Mr P Pot and his family in Phnom Penh (which is really beautiful btw). Anyone see that for the next two games of the qualifiers Germany have only got Max Kruse as a striker, think his value on TM is going to rocket in the next month.

Panicking in a sandwich shop and allowing a distressingly odd combination of fillings to happen.
"@SoVeryBritish: Jumping into the path of a car rather than walk in front of someone taking a photograph
@SoVeryBritish: Getting to work early so the least possible number of people notice you're wearing a new jacket
(That is definitely me)
A lot of the tweets are freakishly true and I thought I was the only one who does it.

Just met the most Bristolian man ever. Such a strange accent. No offence Afro.
My boss is from there too but you usually can't tell. He gets more Bristol around other ones though.
