Was in Weatherspoons so the drinks were cheap as well. Not sure I really remember how the game ended, or indeed how I got home...

I was in a spoons in Exeter, slightly embarrassingly on a chamber choir tour. Was more sad than angry by the end

Woke up with a spinning room, headache and a weird hatred of faux Aussies but not a clue why. Will be doing it again soon no doubt.

Were you playing the drinking game "take a sip every time Walsh absolutely and criminally bottles a call at the scrum"?

It's all about how many people Big Billy Vunipola can trod into the ground in the AIs for me now!
What's a scrum...is what I think he was saying to Youngs.

I want to see us brutal aswell though...no nicey nicey. Look at the AB's and the SA's...they look like they actually want you to physically hurt...they want you to feel their power and aggresion..its a challenge. I want to see US doing the same...hitting every ruck, driving through it...wiping out anyone in the way aggressively, tackling like crazed banshees...
Same with ball in hand...dont slow down going into the contact...speed up and hit that guy or guys with everything you've got trying to get through him...
At least then IF you do get beat you can say...well the b'stewards will wake up in the morning in pain knowing they were in a proper battle!

Assuming Morgan starts and if Billy and Mako are on the bench, I can't wait to see Billy and Mako run on together, imagine the look on the opposition faces

Re: Stu Lancaster on Radio 5 Live
Walsh didnt affect the result but he did affect the score line. What sticks in my mind is the scrum penalty right before T Youngs was substituted which seemed to be about moving the scrum about 3 inches. The look on Youngs face was so resigned - he knew it didnt matter what he did the whistle was going to blow. I actually stopped watching not long after.
Quite honestly it seemed to be a penalty against England for the referee's failure to be able to convey what he wanted.
I hate the 'lets kick the referee cos the result was wrong' mentality that so often turns up - it is such a difficult and vital role they carry out- but in this case am more than happy to make an exception

But the Ref didn't help and he made a lot of very strange calls that day.
Lets be honest I think every Englishman would have rathered Welshman Nigel Owens to take charge of that game over Walsh.

Not that I'm saying that it would have made much difference - but I'd take Owens over Walsh any day.

Re: Stu Lancaster on Radio 5 Live
The Refs have a difficult job and I make a point of not criticising them...if you know decisions are not going your way be clever enough to change things in your game...
HOWEVER
Walsh should not be an international referee. Aside from being atrocious, he tries to be the centre of attention to much rather than being in the background letting the GAME be the centre of attention.
And I think fans of all nationalities would agree with that.

Agree on Walsh.
The only ref who gets the TMO to check his hair.
