Best GK , Defender , Midfielder and Striker you've had at your club
First topic message reminder :
title says it all
for Bolton
Goal Keeper - got to be Jussi but Al Habsi is a close second.
Defender - Gudni Berguson and Gary Cahill
Midfield - either Kevin Nolan , Ivan Campo or Gary Speed , Jay Jay Okacha
Striker - Anelka but Kevin Davies is up there too.

quiet a few i would changeThe Womble wrote:I'm going to tweak this thread a bit, i hope HBK doesn't mind. This is who I think are the best at the 'Big Clubs' from my lifetime.
Arsenal:
GK - Seaman - no contest
DF - Adams
MD - Limpar
ST - Wrighty. Very closely followed by Henry.
Man U:
GK - Van Der Sar. Controversial!!
DF - G Neville
MD - Giggs
ST - Cole
Chelsea:
GK - Cech
DF - Cole
MD - Essien
ST - Zola
Liverpool:
GK - Reina
DF - Hansen
MD - Beardsley
ST - Fowler
Tottenham:
GK - Sullivan
DF - Carr
MD - Sherwood
ST - Sheringham
Any of these teams fans agree or am I way off the mark?
arsenal
MD- fabregas, although could have easily gone for vieira if you wanted a bit tougher MD over a play maker
F- henry, berkamp would have easily made it over wright aswell
United
GK- schmeichel , but vds wasnt far off imo
df- Rio, may be a d!ck but been a quality defender for over ten years at the club, neville just misses out
MD- scholes, not much between scholes and giggs to be fair but personal choice scholes for me
F- ronaldo, classed him as a F just so i can get scholes or giggs in. cantona just misses out, cole quite a way off
chelsea
md- has to be lampard
F- very close between zola and drogba, i would go drogba
Liverpool
MD- has to be gerrard
F- owen over fowler for me, also despite his dramatic drop in form since leaving torres would have to be up there
Spurs
D- king over carr
MD- i would have modric over sherwood, a much better player than tim
F- teddy a good choice, although im very tempted to put klinsmann in there

No Smicer???
My mate who started supporting Liverpool in 98 loved Smicer. Probably the same way I loved Gronkjaer but couldn't pick him because Robben was class and Wise & Zola are legends.

Patrik Berger was a legend. I had him in my Euro 96 dream team along with Michael Laudrup, Karel Poborsky and Oliver Bierhoff, I won £5k from the Sun newspaper! Then had it stowed away for a rainy day by my mum
He was a total unknown before that tournament, but what a player he was. He was like Harry Kewell with beautiful hair.

You mean to say that Harry Kewell didn't have beautiful hair??? Tell that to the 12/13 year old girls in my class when he was at Leeds!
Re: Best GK , Defender , Midfielder and Striker you've had at your club
Paddy Berger needed an alice band. Kewell was greasy.

Shay Given - fantastic agility and made some world class saves.
LB - Enrique
CB - Albert - that goal against man Utd will keep him forever in our hearts.
CB - Colocinni
RB - ??
LM - Ginola, really did have it all, apart from the attitude
CM - Beardsley, possibly the most talented player for Newcastle.
CM - Dyer, terrified defenders with his pace.
RM - Solano
CF - Ferdinand
CF - Shearer, best striker in premier league history and of of the finest the world has ever seen.

Carr is a no no...
I don't really remember a lot of Watson actually. Real good player but people like Albert and Beardsley leave longer lasting memories...
