All Black's Insult to Wallabies
Despite the media suggestion otherwise, the selectorial evidence provides ample proof that the All Blacks no longer rate Australia as a threat. Assuming that is, the AB team sheet doesn't contain any clerical errors this time.
In yet another final tedious dead rubber marking the end of the once prestigious Bledisloe Cup for another tiresome year, and with the trophy yet again locked safely away (does anyone remember where the key is?) the AB's will use Australia as an end of year tour selection trial rather than a test match.
Retiring Andrew Hore is rested whilst the front row of the increasingly decrepid Kevin Mealamu and work in progress Faumauina will suffice to take on the task of holding up the Aussie front row's 80 minute belly flop act. It seems nothing could be learned of Dane Coles performance in such a match.
In the second row, All Black stop gap Jeremy Thrush will be given another outing in the continued absence of injured Luke Romano. The selectors will want to see if he can muster the goods one last time before he is yanked for Retallick if the going gets tough.
There's no room for explosive blind side revelation Steven Luatua in perhaps the single greatest sign that explosive revelations are not seen as necessary against the workman like but increasingly wayward and ponderous Australian inside backs. Richie will chalk up another test to continue his captaincy tutorship of Keiran Read, with Liam Messam's showing against South Africa earning him a likely 80 minutes.
But the pack is merely a distraction, an assumedly solid and reliable platform to provide the experimental backline with enough wall to get acquainted.
The latest AB superstar Ben Smith will take up his destiny at center outside Nonu, Smith and Cruden where he will settle into the combinations that will undoubtably win the AB's the first back to back RWC victory in history. Corey Jane is given a chance to stretch his legs on his familiar right wing and rebuild his legendary partnership with Israel Dagg. Look for big things from the both of them. Together they make a partnership worth three back line players in any other team today, with Julian Savea providing the injection of straight forward direction.
Yes. Far from the insistence the ABs are taking this test match seriously it seems that it is being used as a selection trial for the EOYT rather than a test match against a feared rival. With TKB, Barrett and Taylor on the bench, the ABs are fielding probably the most cerebral and skillful backline since the Wallaby's 1999 world cup winning side.
On the other side of the ditch, the Wallabies are being motivated with a pay cut and the crippling lack of depth that will see them field the last 15 rugby players standing this weekend has been aided by new ARU CEO Bill Pulver ditching both national academies.

Why didn't you just repost it in there rather than bump this?
Copy and paste ????
you can allways delete things as well if no one replys.
Why are you asking the mods to do admin work for you when you could have done it yourself?

Good to see you're perpetuating the stereotype of the insecure Kiwi who still, somehow, (despite being world champs, RC champs etc) has an inferiority complex when it comes to Australia - I thought that particular Kiwi type was long gone as they seemed to have matured as a nation. Perhaps it's just you? Keep up the great work though!!! It's highly amusing.

He fancies himself as Board Jester and Wum Meister. Your fortunate, most of his tiresome drivel is reserved for the English.Icu wrote:Good to see you're perpetuating the stereotype of the insecure Kiwi who still, somehow, (despite being world champs, RC champs etc) has an inferiority complex when it comes to Australia - I thought that particular Kiwi type was long gone as they seemed to have matured as a nation. You got an example there tiger?
People starting interviews with 'look' was beginning to grate but only because I started looking for it. Bit of OCD probably.

Apostrophes being put in the wrong place is a blight on society.

I love the way GE's posts head these days, from serial WUMmer and ugliest gloater around he has become the poster who never gets read beyond the headline.
I think GE has been well and truly dealt with, this thread is official, the most boring subject on the planet (Grammer) is officially more important

"Loook" seems to be an antipodean favourite. Pat Howard used it all the time at Leicester, even rubbed off on Cockers for awhile.ebop wrote:You got an example there tiger?

The "so" thing is an American techy obsession apparently which is slowly filtering in to Brit speak along with Math not Maths ffs!

I've just put the winter wheels back on the road bike and think I need to change the tyres.
The Conti Gators are dead and heavy as hell. Anyone got any ideas for a 25mm good rolling, reasonable puncture protected tyre? Tried the Schwalbe Durano's but got a lot of flint cuts on them.

So, look, not being funny but has anyone here Ever tried to learn Polish? They have three different Z's that can utterly alter the meaning of a word. It's tricky as all hell.

This has got to be the way to go in future! Any tiresome gloat, p1ss take, (un)subtle wum should be countered by a derail to whatever we choose.......still no response to my call for help on choosing winter bike road tyres though.

Re: All Black's Insult to Wallabies
Have only used Fortezza Tricomp tyres , reliable against puncture and offer a good grip. Bit heavy though. Heard conti 4 seasons are great though. Duranos have a poor reputation on reliability.tigerleghorn wrote:I've just put the winter wheels back on the road bike and think I need to change the tyres.

I use Conti GP4000s on my summer wheels without probs. Maybe the 4 season version is a good shout. Are they the same compound with vectran puncture protection?whocares wrote:Have only used Fortezza Tricomp tyres , reliable against puncture and offer a good grip. Bit heavy though. Re: All Black's Insult to Wallabies
Assume they have an extra layer compared to the 4000 series indeed.
Here's the spec i found:
• Optimal combination of high mileage and function in low temperatures.
• 2-layer Vectran™breaker and DuraSkin® sidewall reinforcement
• Grippy and proven tread profile
• Fine 3/330 tpi casing fabric for great handling and smooth riding
• Very high puncture resistance and durability
Look good
