Just gone to buy a next gen console.
After much deliberation of which for the entire time I was convinced I was getting a PS4, I've ended up getting the xbox one. I blame Azzy.

As it's for the kids (cough) I've had to get FIFA for my eldest sonas the game of choice (not fussed over the other pre order options), will have to get the latest Skylanders game for my youngest son and then hopefully I'll be able to treat myself to Titanfall.

Anyone here got FIFA14 yet? For those who moaned at the demo, you'll like it now. A patch came out the other week & its pretty much back to FIFA13 game play style.
It was actually better before the patch.

I've just never been a PS fan, xbox have been good to me so I'm sticking with them, spec wise it looks pretty much the same.

Spec wise they always are similar. Microsoft are faffing around with too much gimmiky poop now tho. Sony sticking with what the machine is, games console for games.
All the press conferences at E3, Gamescom, PAX so on MS were too bothered about showing off their Entertainment System while Sony went straight to games. Each blow Sony dealt saw MS taking steps backwards from some of their initial statments & having to make chances to their plans. They really did mess up in that sense.
Im still not 100% sure where they stand on pre owned game & the console always requiring an internet connection. havent bothered checking as my mind is made up on PS4. Anyway, Sony focusing on games have a impressive list of indie games & dev's. MS missed that again.

XB1 made no changes based on what PS4 was doing; all changes have been made in response to what the buying public want.

Pre-owned games are allowed now.

Console does not need to have an internet connection, it only needs it once at start up I believe.

Why is anyone bothered about indie games and devs? I want blockbuster games from proven devs, not random crap.

Because its mattered in every generation and is a great reason for someone to pick one over the other.

"Indie games are not "crap" Azzy. Its the games you can play/check out in the middle of while waiting for AAA games.

I did have a thought that in future leagues, you could swap the TM website values for the Soccerwiki ones. The value of the player is more closely matched to the ability and age doesn't impact it. All you would need to do is work out a "currency" i.e. instead of £150m to spend, you get x number of Pretend Manager Pounds (PMPs as I would like to cll them)

On release arent there quite a number of games that are xbox only? Doesn't really seem many that are ps4 exclusive and those that are don't look all bells and whistles.

I stated that I would not get the consoles for awhile. 2 years etc.

On the long run Sony have proved to be better as we can see from this gen. Also to the point that I want to play games made by ND which I can't on the Xbox. Hence me saying First Party is my reason and I prefer the First Party developers Sony has.

That's not a stupid reason at all.

OK, so you think xbox back tracked on not allowing pre owned games because of what the public want, in a way its true because the public reaction was bad to xbox not allowing it & Sony were are allowing it.
indie games are big Azzy, look at minecraft for example.

Its fact Azzy that Sony has delivered on the First party line up compared to Microsoft this generation.
Microsoft had 3 big franchises: Halo,GOW,Forza.
Sony: Uncharted,TLOU,GOW,MGS,LBP,Infamous,GT, Killzone(Yes it sucks), Japanese RPG franchises, Motorstorm, Heavy Rain etc.

The PS2 was the best console ever you might be one the only people to think the Xbox was better. But each to their own.

NES, N64, Dreamcast, Mega Drive, PS1, XBOX 360 all better imo.

None of those Sony franchises are of any interest to be - literally none of them. If I want a story, I will read a book. Something that the majority of young gamers would rather die than do. Try reading some of the books nominated in the latest round of the Culture Cup, and you'll not be needing wastes of time like TLOU and Heavy Rain.

Gulliver's Travels > better than any computer game story.
