Keep a look out for the creepy looking caretaker in the Biff n Chip books, he appears in most of the books just watching the kids.

Mentioned it yesterday but if anyone stumps up either 17m for Bernard or 20m for Tekkers then they can have them.

^ What Azzy said. My lads about 1 week into them and so far they haven't even got any words.
One question though, did your books have Kipper as well?

I'm actually writing a book. I just passed the 50k word barrier, they say the next 50k write themselves. I'm not so sure about that

We've spotted a nosy neighbour thus far, and I think I saw a guy dogging in one too.
Biff, Chip, Kipper. Floppy. Mum. Dad. That's the sum total of character we have so far.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
Non-fiction soddy, it's about a football club that loses its manager of 30 years, then sinks through the divisions until it goes bankrupt just 6 years after
Not really, it's a fiction work. The worst part is when you write, say, 2,000 words that you think are great, then you look at them the next day then think 'that's crud' and delete them. It's a tough process.
But I always said I'd write a book, so even if I only ever put it on Kindle and buy it myself, that will be one of my very few life ambitions achieved

It may have been tea. I just remember the tiger drawn on the front.
It always reminds me of that time I had a tiger over for dinner.

Did you get to have dinner at the cafe with your mum and dad in the end, like Sophie does?
It must be an old book as he drinks all the water from the taps. If they were on mains that would have quite an achievement

Azzy I meant the comment you said about writing a book and I meant it in a good way.
Watch when the black family move in the area kids name are William and Wilma or Wilf I'm not too sure but that's when the books become interesting . Pregnancies, interracial relationships alcohol abuse etc. I have a feeling something is going on between biff and William

Gents - it has been proposed, given that cash is so much more valuable in this league that we reconsider the minimum value of £500k for TPs.
The options are either get rid of it altogether, which opens up the option of free transfers in, or reduce it down to a lower value, say £100k.
Any thoughts?

If you use "The Tiger That...." as a starting point you can come up with some great book titles.
The Tiger That Went Rawdog
The Tiger That Developed A Rash
The Tiger That Can't Have Kids
That's my trilogy. Modern fables for kids.

The Tiger who spent his life in a Thai prison
That's my trilogy. But you have to read them all in order as the story follows on

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
Do you remember Smarts would load up his squad with free players to limit the chances of his big names getting injured? Someone can easily buy a freebie with the intentions of getting a lawyer and profit on it. I rather have the limit as it is, 500k is not a huge amount let's just say it's a signing on fee.Afro wrote:Gents - it has been proposed, given that cash is so much more valuable in this league that we reconsider the minimum value of £500k for TPs.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
I did think that initially Viva, but there is a squad maximum and 4 injuries. You also only get 2 TPs per week.
It's not as beneficial to do what Smarts did.
That was the days when lawyers offers were given a value decided by the runners, not by the TM value. Now if they get a lawyer on a player who is a free on TM, their lawyer's offer is also a free. They would only benefit if their player increases in TM value, which actually seems fair.

It works if the lawyer value is also 0 since you run the risk of losing a lawyer

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
I'm happy with what you guys go with but I am favouring the 500k limit. I can have 27 players in my squad buy two free players before injuries and it'll decrease the chance of a big name getting injured and release them after injuries. 500k is bang on I reckon not too high or too less it's in the middle. If you want money then you have to raise it buying selling players or getting Andy in as your accountant
Re: Euro Division LXVIII
End of Season lawyer we should have one where a big fake club comes in & pays over the odds, like +60%, which is drawn at random. That was the days when lawyers offers were given a value decided by the runners, not by the TM value.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
I think we can trust most of the managers in this league to not try and manipulate the system by doing that.
But the compromise would be to reduce the limit. £500k is more of a big deal with the amount of money in the league. Or that you can't release players with no value. You would have filled up your squad and have to wait for a lawyers offer to be able to get rid

Yeah, I bet I know who the first to complain will be when their random player is only worth £1m and someone else has one worth £10m though.Zinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote:End of Season lawyer we should have one where a big fake club comes in & pays over the odds, like +60%, which is drawn at random. That was the days when lawyers offers were given a value decided by the runners, not by the TM value.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
Well a big fake club is only going to want the best players, so any such lawyers offer would probably have to be for whoever the most valuable player in your squad issodhat wrote:Yeah, I bet I know who the first to complain will be when their random player is only worth £1m and someone else has one worth £10m though.Zinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote:End of Season lawyer we should have one where a big fake club comes in & pays over the odds, like +60%, which is drawn at random. That was the days when lawyers offers were given a value decided by the runners, not by the TM value.

Ive havent moaned about a lawyer offer, maybe if one player was consistently picked at "random" but not about an actual offer

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
At the end of the season, a local business man, a wealthy Russian and and extremely wealthy Arab want to invest in a club each. We randomly draw three clubs. Yes it does not seem fair but was it fair when roman and Arabs bought city and Chelsea nope.
I have many more ideas.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
I like that idea Viva, and they force you to sell players you like and buy players you don't like

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
True but I did say drawn at random. Let me rephrase: A fake club comes in with an over the top +60% offer on a random player.Afro wrote:Well a big fake club is only going to want the best players, so any such lawyers offer would probably have to be for whoever the most valuable player in your squad is
So Notts Forrest may really want Shaun Wright-Phillips so they bid +60% his TM Value.
Then id have to decide to sell of not.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich may want Olivier Giroud so they bid +60% his TM Value.
Whatever is drawn at random, a club of equal stature to the level of player could be used as a name purpose on the offer.

Also, each team get one of the Over The Top offers but they cannot be any of the EoS Lawyers we put forward. Has to be on one of the normal offers which are drawn.
That way it will eliminate say me putting Robben up for a EoS Lawyer offer in the hope of him being the random Over The Top offer drawn.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
3 managers are done for match fixing and punishment is that they start each game a goal behind. 10 players are busted for drug abuse, you can lose the player for a season or you can have him back but need to cough up half his value.
2 footballers wake up one morning gay the two managers must swap players or they'll lose them.

Re: Euro Division LXVIII
Brilliant absolutely brilliant I wouldn't have thought of that. An they bring in a technical director (Which will be you) who messes around by doing transfer without the managers consent.Azzy Mahmood wrote:I like that idea Viva, and they force you to sell players you like and buy players you don't like
