I've waited all week for someone else to do this thread but since no one has (all too lazy!) I've put it together.
Remarkably similar stats between the two teams, With Treviso coming out on top last season. Indeed the desperate home defeat early last season to Treviso is when alarm bells really started ringing that something was wrong with Edinburgh.
Random stat of the round - top try scorer for Edinburgh in this fixture? Kyle Traynor!

Re: Edinburgh V Treviso
Will be interesting to see what he does in terms of selection. This is his first real test of the whole juggling act he has to do with the squad, bearing in mind player rest periods and the AIs coming up. Add to that the complication of a game in Perpignan 5 days earlier.
I’m not sure whether all Scotland player have to be rested the week before the AIs, which would mean for next weeks game against Zebre, suggesting they will be played on Friday or will go 3 weeks without a game before Japan. Hopefully common sense prevails and they are allowed to play one of the next two games.
Either way it is going to be a test for the squad, and a chance for some of the new signings to contribute.
Will Ross Rennie feature?
Will Grayson Hart finally play his first game?
Will McInally make an appearance at hooker?

I'm hoping we are going to be going win/lose/win/lose this season! This game is undoubtebly losable for Edinburgh. We lose this and I think we might be flogging that horse of yours all season!

Has McInally been making Premiership appearances at hooker? I would have thought he would have to learn the ropes there for a while before playing professionally in a new position.
Why hasn't Hart featured, is he injured?

Don't think Mcinally has played yet due to injury, same for hart too. I had high hopes for hart so it's a shame he's been injured, but it has meant SHC had got some game time.

Re: Edinburgh V Treviso
Agree that selection will be interesting for this one. This is a winnable home game so you'd think Edinburgh would target it, however as we are still in HC contention given the Munster result Solomons may rest some of the players.
Players can't play every game, and given the effort given in the HC so far, I suspect a bit of rotation is on the cards.
My guess at the XV:
1.Blaauw 2.Latui 3.Cross 4.Atkins 5.VDW 6.Basilia 7.Leonardi 8.Du Preez 9.Hidalgo-Clyne 10.Leonard 11.Visser 12.Dominguez 13.Fife 14.Cuthbert 15.Tonks

I wouldn't call changing the entire front 5 a bit of rotation, but agree there will be some. No idea how much though.

If Matt Scott is fit (the bloke that plays 12) he definitely needs game time to get some match fitness. I'd play him both games so he's completely match fit for the AIs - cant see that happening though.

If fit I'd play him (at 12), but like Hogg I don't want him rushed through this season. If he isn't ready then I'm perfectly happy for Duncan Taylor or Alex Dunbar to play 12 for Scotland.

Absolutely full strength. Quite pleased actually. I assume Solomons will use the Zebre game to rest a few players. I'd quite like Blaauw to get a start soon.
There's also the added bonus of me not being able to attend. Edinburgh are 100% at Murrayfield this season when I have missed the game, and 0% in those I've been at.

Liking the fact that Leonard is getting consistent Game time at 10. It also seems to be something of a settled pack.
Anyone know when Rennie is fit to be playing for Edinburgh again? Am I right in saying he is training with the Scotland Squad?

Good looking team. But who's this Matt Scott bloke & what's he doing in Atiga's shirt? Not a fan of shoehorning players in like that...
Re: Edinburgh V Treviso
Agreed on Leonard. I suspect it's enforced as much as anything else, but it's still really great experience for him to get a long run of games in the side, and getting 80 minutes each time. He's still very much a "prospect" rather than the genuine article, and he's not ready for international rugby by any stretch, but he is improving in my view.
Matt Scott - 12.

Most of the Edinburgh team played 5 days ago - suspect we'll see more subs around the 60 minute mark than what Solomons would normally do.

With Hunter and 2-first-names injured we'd have to play Laidlaw, Tonks or Scott out of position.
And we all know what position Matt Scott is. 12.

You can bet that Visser will want to play in this one and against Zebre next week. He may be a "flat track bully", but he really does take his chances, and with Matt Scott (at 12) and NDL in tandem I reckon will win our next two games. There's optimism for you!

Re: Edinburgh V Treviso
Absolutely must win games. We won't win the league anyway, but recovering any form of respectability requires a mid-table finish, and beating teams like Treviso and Zebre at home is a must. I can forgive away defeats, but we need to make coming a Murrayfield a more daunting task. If we play as we did against Munster, we ought to be winning these games.

You Glasgow fans are getting more and more like some of the Welsh on here – putting down other teams’ players, discrediting their good victories, elevating your own players to God-like status ( )….!
Yes Munster could be accused of being complacent, and made a lot of mistakes, but the Edinburgh performance was genuinely very good – both as a team and individually. If we played like that every week it would take a hell of a lot more for teams to beat us than it currently does.

I've long since noted the Welshification of the Glasgow fans and it's getting worse. Surprised the ref didn't cop the blame for that total spanking in the first half against Toulon. So many world class players playing for Glasgow, and yet Toulon somehow managed to find a way to win.....
Whatever it takes....

We're all on the same side here.......we all want what's best for Edinburgh, and Stockbridge in partcular.....
Just looking at that Treviso squad I'm not hugely pleased to see the quality of that Treviso bench. Barbieri coming on after 60 minutes bothers me, and McLean and Botes can be dangerous.

Strong Edinburgh team with a bonkers/tyro back row. I expect an Edinburgh win.

18-10 for Edinburgh but with no tries.
Harsh on Leonardi to get dropped as i thought he really gave his all last week and i don't think Basilaia is better than him.
Also Blaauw should be starting, much better scrummager than Dickinson and in wet conditions there is going to be a lot of scrummage.

I fancy a fairly comfortable win with tries for Edinburgh. A decent pack with a very good back row should mean good turnover ball for Scott etc to exploit.
