Should Britain really be asking for CSKA Moscow to be banned ??
First topic message reminder :
I notice that people are asking for the referee in the City game to be banned and CSKA to be thrown out of Europe.......I'm a City fan and I find it amusing the double standard............
All I hear Is that "we" still have a racism problem int he UK at football grounds..........In the last year or two we've seen John Terry the England captain found guilty on a racism charge......
We've seen anti-sematic behaviour at West Ham.............
As soon as another Country does something naughty well that's it!! Ban them..........
I love Britain....... but It's always everybody elses fault..
My opinion let him without sin cast the first stone.......
Remember the World championships when the 400 relay team cheated "Let's hope they don't notice"....Gabby Yorath..
Get your house in order before you moan about anybody else..........The persecution complex don't wash.

Like I said you tried to create an argument out of nothing, got proven wrong and you can't admit it.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Which would have the same effect on Man City and England, you seem unable to debate anything without bleating on about any poster wanting an argument. Would be far easier if you just answered the questions that are posed instead of reverting to type.

You haven't proven anything, City are at a disadvantage because of the stand closure at CSKA so therefore England would be at a disadvantage were a fan boycott to occur. All you've done is gone off on tangents about the action being different but have said nothing about the reaction.

Anyway Hammersmith you are on my foe list as I can't be bothered debating with you as you are just intent on arguing over petty things and even when you are wrong you like to carry on the same argument for hours (you've been FOED, in the way Rio Ferdinand said you've been MERKED).

Lets hope England don't boycott the WC in 2022 as we are meant to win that tournament according to the FA lolDuty281 wrote:I hope that at least some major footballing nations boycott the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.compelling and rich wrote:russians at it again last night, flares, kicking off and swastikas in the crowd. gays and blacks wont be welcome at the world cup. what a wonderful decision by fifa to give them the tournament.
does anybody believe the BS about wanting to move the cup around that fifa feed and not think its simply who's willing to give the biggest brown envelopes
qatar and russia both terrible choices yet both bit of money backing them. imagine the up roar if half the things happening in russia happened over here

We'll win it next summer - then we won't have to bother with the next two!

Riots in Brazil where local people don't want the WC due to spiraling costs and a low standard of living, Hooliganism in Russia and homophobia, and Qatar is too hot to host a summer outdoor tournament and would result in all leagues having to reschedule their fixtures.

South Africa brought negative headlines galore prior to the 2010 World Cup. This is the norm.

Think brazil will sort itself out, im happy its there. We may be the creators but brazil is the heart of football and it will be jumping. Only have to look at confed final to see what the atmosphere will be like, much better than SA and those horns!!

Ah them vuvuzela's! Took me a good few months to get them out of my system.compelling and rich wrote:Think brazil will sort itself out, im happy its there. Brazil will put on a terrific show, I'm sure.

Vuvuzela's destroyed all atmosphere in the ground and replaced it with a monotonous never ending horn sound.
I too also think the WC in brazil will be amazing. but if there are riots and deaths it will massively overshadow the tournament. Let's just hope the brazillan government sort out the problems before next year.

I think that's the best reasoned argument I've ever seen you put forward on here!Champagne_Socialist wrote:If England boycott the tournament then the fans of England are punished and some other team will just take the place of England. If England compete but the fans boycott then the fans still get to see England play on TV and FIFA are punished as they will lose money as there will be less fans buying tickets, buying merchandise and less sponsorship money etc.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Why?
FIFA only care about making money, they are a business conning people that they are putting football first when they are putting their wallets first. Punish FIFA by reducing their income.

South Africa came very very close until they started giving them away to local school kids part way through the tourney to reduce the embarrassment.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Can you provide me any evidence of half empty stadiums in any world cup game this century?

Re: Should Britain really be asking for CSKA Moscow to be banned ??
I was in South Africa on the British Lions tour the year before and we gained some experience of the horrible vuvuzelas at that time. The SARU banned them from rugby stadiums, but there were some locals blowing them in the streets around the test match venues, and bars close to the stadiums. If you think it was bad hearing them on the TV, it is nothing like having them in your ear for real, in close up.Champagne_Socialist wrote:Vuvuzela's destroyed all atmosphere in the ground and replaced it with a monotonous never ending horn sound.
They really are the worst thing imaginable and I was not at all surprised when one rather grizzled old Afrikaaner, who looked like he could still pack down in the front row, grabbed one off a youth and told him which bodily orifice he would insert it into - sideways - if he didn't stop blowing the bloody thing.
I said to the me'm sahib at the time, that if these things weren't banned from the world cup, they would kill it in terms of atmosphere. They weren't, and they did.

I would have hated to have been next to anyone blowing a vuvezela haha sounds deafening. I remember in 09 at the confederations cup watching it on tv that I hated the vuvuzelas. I felt they should have been banned in all games except games South Africa were playing in.The Fourth Lion wrote:I was in South Africa on the British Lions tour the year before and we gained some experience of the horrible vuvuzelas at that time. CSKA have to play their next European match behind closed doors.
It appears that some of their "supporters" ignored warnings, and displayed racist symbols during their Champions League game away to Viktoria Plzen in December.
And the punishment increases...will CSKA ever learn though?

Nope, not unless they get properly punished.
