This applies to Mr.Average watching on the box,first turn off the sound.
Next don`t pretend you know more than the Ref.mostly you DON`T
Sit down open both eyes and watch BOTH sides trying to play the Ref.
THEN If your side loses kick the cat,go down the pub,and drown your
sorrows.Whistle Yahoo

Mr Average seems to have a miserable existence. Become a NZ supporter. We only tend to drown our sorrows every four years. Whistle 

It's a noble thread Alan but it's a sobering thought for many to not fall back on the ref excuse and they won't be listening as they're too busy drowning their sorrows and have no interest in sobering up.

Sky used to offer the service of allowing you to hear the ambient sound and referee without the droning irritating commentators. That idea seems to have disappeared.

I just commented to my brother while enduring another Wellington finals loss how remarklably regularly right the referees are when you see the slowmo replay. That's why I never moan about the refs
