There are lots of things that make me chuckle. Even something like an old movie where somebody slides on a banana skin is still funny, even though I may have seen it a hundred times before.
Satire, if well done, is funny even though it is primarily intended to make a point. I have read back through old posts on this site and found some instances of this. It wasn't exactly appreciated by those who were being mocked, but that reflected more on them than it did on the writer and only served to reinforce the point being made.
The last time I laughed..? Last night when my granddaughter told me a joke. It went:
What do you call a cat on the beach at Christmas? Sandy Claws.
Brilliant. Come on, admit it.... you're smiling right now, too.

Jimmy Carr is hilarious, as is Frankie Boyle. Some of FB's stuff is a little close to the bone, probably why it's so funny.
Last time I properly laughed was when a drunk friend tried to kick a pigeon, missed and fell flat on his back... Straight into bird poo.
Serves him right.

I laugh everyday, really. I laugh watching local politicians attempt to explain wasteful expenditure. I laugh watching comics lampoon them on the matter (if you've watched South African comedy, you'll know 90% of the material comes from politicians). I laughed insanely on Saturday watching my girlfriend try play table tennis. Last good laugh was probably on Wednesday on the tennis part of the forum, when Socal called Federer the "Swiss Yahweh". Going to a cricket match with the lads this afternoon/evening. Six hours of drinking in the sun will lead to great laughs I suppose..

The Labour party. They certainly make me laugh a lot.
Today, the shadow immigration minister was banging on about how the Conservatives aren't doing enough about illegal immigration - what did Labour ever do about it?
And now I'm reading about how Ed Miliband thinks it's OK to sign people up to the Labour Party without their knowledge.

Have you ever seen anyone actually slip on a banana skin? Because I've not, and I remember going over this question in the pub and nobody there had either. My missus slipped on an orange someone had left in a pile of rubbish next to the kerb the other day, but it's not the same. The Fourth Lion wrote:There are lots of things that make me chuckle. I've been laughing a lot lately at re-runs of Scrubs. Have I Got News For You usually has a similar effect on me.

Same here Dyre - old ones especially with a particular favourite - angus and mother teresa joke. Really burst out laughing when I saw that.

Went to see Sean Lock the other week. He made both me and TSMR laugh quite a lot, other than that I laugh infrequently, I am far too dour and northern for moments of levity.

I saw one of the posh, clean cut, immaculately dressed wallies I have to share oxygen with at work flicking his hand through his hair as he was walking down a flight of stairs a couple of weeks ago when he tripped and fell down them about eight steps from the bottom..
Must have hurt !!..........However I've never seen anybody up so quick and looking around to see if anyone had seen him........I gave him the thumbs up in appreciation of a pirouette and floor entry Tom Daley could only dream of.......
It was only me unfortunately that had the pleasure of watching it..
